Big Backpackers Hostel

Private room is great if you are on a tight budget and want your own bathroom.

My private room didn’t come with the option to control the aircon in the room - also there was a green light in the ceiling that kept me awake all night. The younger people staying there were obnoxiously loud and crude at 2am, reception closes at 9pm so there was no one there to make them be respectful of other guests. 24hr reception and security would improve this facility a heck of a lot.

A good location near Central station and Chinatown. Functional room that was comfortable.

Brilliant location, warm welcoming staff and a comfy, home from home stay :) Staff clearly care and work hard to keep an active hostel clean and make sure people feel comfortable and have a great stay. There are varying social activities/events to get involved in, and opportunity to naturally connect with people in the 24/7 common areas, but it’s also relaxed to just chill by yourself. The kitchen has recently upgraded facilities (new stove top and oven!) and the fridge has LOTS of space following a clear out. I'm a repeat visitor, and I’d recommend it for travellers, working holiday makers, anyone needing a comfy, friendly stay.
