Campo Di Fiori, Maisons de Charme

We absolutely loved this accommodation. The approach up to the reception is stunning and the grounds are just beautiful. The apartment was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Having access to the pool was also a highlight. Our host was so helpful and friendly on arrival and gave us lots of information on the area - Calvi Citadel is only a 15 minute scenic walk away. Only wish we had longer but would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Nothing.

The staff and location were perfect. Very well positioned, close to the beach and Calvi old town. Super friendly and responsive staff. Well done for that.

The room was not great at all. First of all, this is not a hotel, but a group of Airbnbs, so the 4* headline rating is super misleading. For starters, there was no daily cleaning - no one to even take the trash out. On top of it, you are charged an extra cleaning fee at the end of the stay. The room was a converted 'tree house' style construction with the bathroom inside the bedroom, and super small. It was super noisy (campsite next door was blasting parties until 4am), so very hard to sleep. The WiFi is all but useless – forget about doing any work. I sent an email on Thursday and it managed to go out 3 days later on Sunday... Bit of a joke. Overall, the price was astronomical for what you're getting. Some of the most expensive 5-star hotels on the island are nearly the same price and you're getting at best a mediocre Airbnb with good location. Absolutely not worth it - better spend a bit more but have a great time. By the end of it (we stayed 5 nights), I was very much looking forward to leaving the property.
