Thornbury Lodge

The lodge is very convenient if you want to play golf at Thornbury golf course or go to a function in Thornbury. We stayed one night for golf and a lunch party the next day. Food is available in the golf club restaurant but we went into Thornbury to eat. There's good parking by the lodge. Quiet location.

The location was perfect for our situation. Lovely comfy bed with quality bedding. Lovely crisp clean sheets. Historical building restored to a quite a nice standard and the furniture was a little tired. If we had an issue the carpets, windows were unclean, dusty in many areas and toilet seat was disgusting needs replacing immediately room 7.

The bathroom was unclean and the toilet seat needed replacing as it was badly stained in our room. Hairs on the floor swept into a corner behind the door and dust on door itself. Stains down the bath panel. Notice in handbook to request a bath mat for anti slip within the deep bath.. The food in the restaurant wasn,t the best quality but having travelled to the venue we were tired and needed fuel. Should have got the car out and travelled into the local town. Should have been told upon arrival to report to golf club bar area for reception to the lodge. Staff were fine on reception but thought it should have been managed better. We were not the only people to arrive to find out this. A simple note on the website should be sufficient. Attention to detail is required at this property.

Room was very comfy. Bed excellent. Breakfadt very tasty. Coffee very nice.

There was a noise coming from the radiator. As it wasnt on .so the noise was contiinuious all night. I expect once the radiator is on .the noise would stop. So apart from that it was very nice and vomfortable.

Large rooms

Rooms were dusty and worn, no internet so the smart TV working log on to Netflix etc, food only served until 8pm. No bottled water which would I would expect for any room of £100 per night
