Hotel Bellevue Palace Bern

The professionality of the staff was amazing. The place and the view wonderful and the food superb.

The beautiful view, the decoration down stairs, the kindness of the staff

The bed was very hard, the duvet very heavy , there was only one bathroom sink in the bathroom of our suite, the sleeping room was not nicely decorated, the small living room was, we had a (political?) delegation in the room next to our suite (with 3 bodyguards it seems) so we did not feel at ease while this was a stay for our wedding anniversary.... Our wedding anniversary was not remembered (usually one would find 1 bottle of wine in the room in a Palace - 5 stars hotel) until diner when someone remembered to give us a glass of prosecco. The food was not exceptional at all, one would expect a far better restaurant in such a palace with an exceptional cook, the brunch was far from exceptional ( very dry salmon , shimp without any taste, curry sauce without any taste, old brown bread etc..) The service was very slow and long, one would have 3 different waiters taking care of you randomly, it all seemed rather disorganised. The staff was really friendly and kind but the organisation was not good. Even when we told we were a little in a hurry because we had to go to a show in the evening getting desert would still take around 30 minutes ( fruit with sorbet..., nothing that requires cooking) The lady at the reception desk was really kind as well as the young man parking the cars.
