The staff was fabulous and extremely helpful. The location was amazing. It is right on the edge of the old town but still very quiet as it is next to the old monastery. Our room looked into the cloister which was so beautiful and calming. The breakfast was quite nice, the dining area is large and pleasant. The restaurant is also quite good. The building is a beautifully restored old monastery. Staying here is special and unique experience.

We were next to the elevator and could hear some noise in the hallway in the evening. The mattress was a bit overused. This hotel is on the expensive side.

The staff was very nice with us. The room was prepared as requested with a bassinet. The room was a pretty good size and had water and some biscuits. And also other stuff in side the minibar. The location is really good. You can go around the city by walking but still a quiet place for a family to stay. The breakfast was really good and besides what you had in the buffet you could also choose other things you in a list as warm dishes, like eggs, pancakes, etc...

The mattress was too soft and for that reason was a bit uncomfortable. Also, because our room was in the begging of the corridor we got to hear some noise as people would come and go to the room. If it was only me and my husband that wouldn't bother me but because we had our baby with us was not the best room for us to stay.

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times. It is a nice conversion of a very old building, but the modern rooms are rather formulaic and a little boring. However, our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located on the edge of the old town within easy walking distance of the main square. There are good parking arrangements.

Some of the staff have a slightly superior air, which I found irritating. Some bathroom fittings needed updating.

Een prima hotel en goede locatie aan de rand van het centrum. Bij aankomst was parkeerplaats voor het hotel redelijk vol. We konden de auto met sleutels achterlaten en werd voor ons geparkeerd. Vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk ontbijt in de gewelven van het hotel. Wij hadden uitzicht op binnentuin met broedende ooievaars in de toren. Goede bedden en prima kamer met gevulde minibar.

The location, being only a seven minute walk from the main square

The attitude of some of the check-in staff. The management clearly do not pay them enough because they appear to regard the guests as prey to solicit unwanted services and hence tips. Although I was satisfactorily parked in a recognised bay they insisted on valet parking. I think not. This attitude continued when taking our luggage to our room. They insisted they do it, I was equally insistent that this was not necessary. It nearly became a confrontation before they backed off. From then on we were ignored. We have just spent two weeks staying in four and five star hotels all around NW Spain and this was the only occasion that we were so pressurised. Management please note: we did not eat either breakfast nor dinner at your hotel because of the attitude of your staff, thus depriving your business of revenue.

Beautiful premises, an old monastery beautifully converted into a modern hotel facility. The location was excellent, literally minutes away from the old town centre. Car parking facilities on site. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much for them and always going the extra mile for you.

Unfortunately, the air con in the room was not working well and spoilt what could have been a brilliant experience.

The hotel staff are so helpful, efficient and friendly. The location is amazing. The hotel being an historic building is beautiful. We will be returning without doubt!

The rooms in the new part afternoon, are noisy. The restaurant is under the rooms. I am happy, only afternoon, and early night. With that noise in the evening is would be impossible to sleep...

Superb location just a short stroll from the historic Old Town. We received a very warm welcome from the staff armed with lots of useful information. The room had a lovely view over the cloisters garden towards the old convent. An added bonus was seeing storks nesting on the towers above us. The breakfast was exceptional.

The glass door to the bathroom lacked a bit of privacy.

Just a wonderful property in a great, central location. Significantly more than we expected considering the price. From the moment we arrived we impressed.

We loved everything about it from the moment we arrived, we were immediately met by gentlemen with smiling faces and so helpful to see us settled in. Our room was fabulous (corner room in 4th floor) with stunning views of the Cathedral and churches. So close to everything and a very easy walk to Plaza Mayor. Breakfasts were superb in a stunning dining room. We would thoroughly recommend this and would come back again.

Amazing historical building. Large comfortable room with lovely view over the convent, that had storks nesting on the roof. Staff helpful and friendly. Great restaurant- we had the excellent tasting menu with wine pairings. Hotel has good parking. Amazing sights in the city such as the cathedral and ceiling of Salamanca only a 5 minute walk away.

We were accidently charged for 3 nights rather than 2, which I only realised after paying but this was quickly resolved when I drew it to their attention.

if you are a light sleeper room 101 is not for you, the traffic is high. and as one of the few dog friendly hotels it was not ideal for our dog to be in a high traffic area of the hotel.
