All good except a bit overpriced for the cleaning fee for a small dog (25€ - 10€ ?)

The location was really good.

The hotel felt a bit tired, the decor was generally from the 80’s and in numerous places really needed to be sorted. The hotel is classified as a 4 star hotel and we felt as though it was in transition from a previous owner. We have stayed in other Soho Boutique hotels and this one was not up-to there usual standard. The current owners do have a duty to make it clear that they are aware of faults and shortcomings and the price you pay reflects these shortcomings. We also felt the night staff could have been a little more helpful especially regarding parking and access to the hotel. The breakfast was included in the price but was pretty average. Cooked items were generally over cooked however overall it was acceptable but definitely room for improvement. Be aware, we visited the hotel in early September during freshers week and the noise from students partying all night and into the early hours of the morning was truly unbearable. This occurred right outside the hotel and in the main square and as far as we could make out happens every September and probably throughout the year. We can’t emphasise enough how bad this was, and although this is no fault of the hotel, they need to address this with the local authorities or put in place modifications to the sound insulation.
