This hotel I liked. I had an apartment. Very clean. A cool bedroom, slept well, needed no air-condition. A well equipped kitchenette, living-room a stair-step down with comfortable sofa and a TV (with also German and English channels, not only Spanish). A large balcony with chairs, table and sun lounger. One reason that I chosed this hotel was for the activities, for example fitness classes, which were even better than I expected. The gym was small, but had enough equipment to make me satisfied. I booked breakfast and dinner, which both were buffet, with a lot to chose from. Great. The staff was nice! The complex was situated right at the beach. I also liked that the two pools were in different places, one pool was reserved for relaxation, no playing or other disturbing noise there. Good value for money.

Excellent choice of food for both breakfast and dinner, and generally good quality, especially for the evening dinner. Excellent location, with direct access from the hotel to the beach.

Internet access in our room was very patchy, rarely lasting for more than a few seconds, so we had to go to the reception area to obtain a reliable signal.

Absolutely amazing place, especially for families with small kids like us, excellent facilities, location and food.

Everything was perfect

Great location and amenities, lovely beach, friendly staff. We were given the best apartment without asking - front row with see view, seconds from the beach.

The number of restaurants or bars nearby where we could eat, although we stayed there out of season.

Picturesque hotel with a nice central area with pool, kids center, sport center and small theater. The breakfast and dinner were very very tasty with lots of varieties of meat, sides and salads.

There was no / very little signal strength of the WiFi in our room. The WiFi is intended only for public areas but I think in 2022 it would be very good to have more reliable internet connection in upscale hotels like this. I understand this is mainly a German-tourist hotel, but it would be nice to include English explanatory signs and food names next to Spanish and German.

Food, pool, entertainment all fantastic. Perfect holiday for family with young kids. Would definitely go back.

Rooms need a bit of a refresh.

Great location by the beach and good facilities (pool, tennis courts etc.).

We were allocated to a bungalow for those with limited mobility - great as it was in a quieter part of the site but showering was a little awkward as we couldn't adjust the shower head height - also the water went cold after one shower so consecutive showers were difficult!

Close to the beach. Spacious rooms and balcony.

Every apartment has a 30L tank of hot water. Bearing in mind an average 5 min shower uses 50 - 100L of water. (Google it) I was unable to wash my hair or have a full shower the whole time I stayed there as the warm water kept cutting out. Which is fine if you’re visiting July/August but other times of the year people will want to shower in warm water. And thats a basic commodity of a 4* hotel. When I reported this to reception they said ‘theres nothing we can do about it’ And didnt offer me anything to compensate. I had to move hotels halfway through my holiday. They also charge you extra for everything. For example the gym is 5€ every time. An absolute rip off. Everything is in German. All the announcements, activities etc. We’re in Spain, you should at least make an effort to also speak Spanish and have activities in other languages.

The room was perfect. We had a big apartment with 2 double rooms so we could stay all family together. Our daughters slept in one of the bedrooms and our 4 year old slept on the sofa which was more like 2 big beds put together as a sofa. The cleaning lady friendly asked us if we wanted her to make a bed of the sofa when we met her outside our room on arrival. Also, we wanted a room with a balcony so they upgraded us without any extra cost. So we got balcony, sea view and 2 bedrooms instead of 1 bedroom without extra cost. Good service!

Everything is in German at this hotel. Everyone is speaking German with you, even if you say that you speak English they continue to speak German. All the signs are in German, the show in the night and the minidisco for kids is in German. But I think all Costa Calma is full of German tourists so maybe it is not unique for this hotel. But because of this I would not stay here again. You don't want to hear German when you travel to Spain... The location was okey, but it is not a part of the long beach, the hotel is located on a small beach and then you have to walk 5-10 minutes on stones to be able to reach the long beach in Costa Calma. And in the afternoon I think you have to walk in water back because of the tide. There are not any restaurants near by. We walked 20 min on the beach to reach a beach restaurant, but thats it and they were not very friendly there. In my opinon Costa calma is a very touristic place. Sotavento Beach club is a very nice hotel compared to the other huge complex in Costa calma. But there is no city center in Costa calma. One day we took at taxi to Mamma Mia restaurant but that was very awful and touristic. I would rather stay in Morro Jable where there is a church, old town, a city center, and restaurants and shops. Or stay at the BEACH Sotavento more south on the east cost where you can go windsurfing or kite surfing just outside the hotel.

Also, the water was alternating between warm and cold. - Not a lot of Spanish food options at breakfast. - The dinner time ends very early (at 21h). - The main language of the hotel is German. A few employees didn’t speak Spanish. All the entertainment was in German, so we couldn’t participate. Even though the main guests are German, the hotel is located in Spain, so the entertainment should be inclusive.

The flexibility of the hotel, I had to check out earlier and it wasn't a problem at all for the hotel. They took safety measure due Corona during the breakfast and dinner.

Drinks weren't included in the price, the badroom had a constant bad smell of the pipes. The hotel was missing vibes of different cultures like for example different music on the swimming pool.

Very comfortable stay. Nice hotel with a big apartments and nice, helpful staff. Half board ok. The hotel located close to the beach (although there are lot of much more beautiful beaches on the island;)). Costa Calma is a good starting point for exploring the island (very close to the beautiful Sotavento beach and Morro Jable).

Quite poor WIFI connection (sometimes it was hard to connect at all). Selection of fruits and their quality could be better (especially during breakfast). We have found some dancing activities for kids only in one day during our stay (maybe becouse of Euro 2021). Pools need renovatition (the paint comes off in places).

We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner with the half board Did feel that being charged for water was a little stingy Food was great .

Maybe a better range of things for dessert,for example I found the rice pudding by chance,it was delicious but never saw it again.

Stunning apartment, incredible sea views and sunrise

Great setup place, no big hotel buildings, very cozy for current period stay with very little people, nice atmosphere. Well structured apartments all equipped, our facing ocean and interior park.
