Raka Rai Bungalows

Die Raka Rai Bungalows liegen sehr zentral: Restaurants, Cafés, Geschäfte, Minimärkte und Massagestudios sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Gleichzeitig ist die Anlage schön grün, mit einem Pool mitten in der Natur. Mein Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber, mit einem großen Badezimmer, Kühlschrank und einem ausgesprochen gemütlichen Bett. Besonders gefallen hat mir der Balkon mit dem wundervollen Blick auf den Garten und den umliegenden Wald. Die Gastgeber waren herzlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Der Besitzer war sofort zur Stelle und hat mir auch mit meinem Gepäck geholfen.

Abends war es durch die Musik aus den benachbarten Bars ziemlich laut. Der Lärm kam von außerhalb der Unterkunft, war im Zimmer aber deutlich zu hören.

N/A- I enjoyed it all. Some people may require a television on their holidays, and there wasn’t one. This wasn’t, however, an issue for us. :)

The Bungalows are managed by husband and wife and they're really nice people. Seems pretty well managed. Rooms are spacious and well kept. All our requests were accomodated ASAP. And I brought the room key with me by mistake when checking out but they literally just said No Problem. Epic Chad!

Everything seems a bit old. However I actually liked it pretty much. The bathtub didnt have a stopper.

The pool was great, shady in the morning and the afternoon, nobody else using it as there are only 4 rooms at the property. My four year old enjoyed the shallow end of the pool, made it much more relaxing for me not having to hold her all the time in the pool or worrying about sunburn. The property was very quiet and tranquil considering it’s promiximty to the busy street. The pool overlooked a river, no monkeys around, and not able to be seen by any other properties. It felt very safe and secure as it was tucked away. Also there was a key to lock up belongings in a wardrobe which was nice to have additional security.

Cleanliness. Some things could be improved - the inside of the pillow was mouldy and no pillowcase protector, and the bin hadnt been wiped and had crusty stuff on it I had to touch to push things into the bin. Also the bathroom could use a good scrub. The cleaners did come everyday and change bin, make bed etc, and there were no mosquitos, roaches or ants which was a relief. If you don’t mind roughing it a bit, it’s incredible value for money.
