Fantastic hotel, super clean with very comfy beds and super helpful and attentive staff. Great buffet breakfast. Loved our stay here!

The location is great - very close to the park and bars/restaurants. The laundry service is very fast. Staff were friendly.

The room we booked was actually in Espadilla Gardens hotel - a separate property down the road. Not really a big deal, but it meant that our stay started with being sent off with our luggage (after a very long drive). It also meant that you had to walk up along the road to the sister property for breakfast. The room was fine but very small and quite dark - compared to other places we have stayed in Costa Rica it was not good value for money. The most irritating thing was the breakfast time - we had chosen the hotel specifically because it is so close to the park, and we wanted to be there for opening time (7am), but breakfast only starts at 7, and reception only opens at 7 too. You can get breakfast to go, but you need to pick it up at 7, slightly delaying your arrival at the park. Not a huge deal, but be aware if you are booking for the reasons we did! When we did have breakfast at the hotel the following day, it was fine.

The location was great! It is easily walkable to the beach and to Manuel Antonio National Park. I loved that the pool is open 24h.

It was not made clear on the listing that Hotel Playa Espadilla and Espadilla Gardens are separate hotels and that booking the Gardens rooms are on a separate property. While they are very close and you can access the other hotel's amenities, it would have been nice to know it up front.

We loved the staff. Everyone was super helpful and friendly, especially “Rooster” at the bar. The breakfast Buffett was yummy and kept you full. On the gardens property, it’s an alley way to the beach.

The restaurant and bar on the property were lovely.

Nice pool and breakfast. The hostel access the street had very nice and reasonably priced food so that was a bonus.

Their restaurant was quite expensive and if you want an area with a bit more happening at night this hotel was a bit far away.

The proximity to the beach and Manuel Antonio park were key! The pool and sun beds felt luxurious, and the hammocks were wonderful. The room was very clean, the beds and pillows were so comfy, and the shower was pampering. The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was a buffet and offered many options! Lastly, the iguanas were all over the premises which we loved! All in all, we loved it and definitely will come back!

Rooms were large and clean. AC worked great. Breakfast was good. Pool area was clean and had comfortable loungers and beds. Location was great to walk to restaurants and beach. It was great having a restaurant onsite for dinners. Great food!

The property was very nice, clean, safe, quiet despite the closeness to the crazy tourist area. The staff were very helpful and friendly. the pool area and restaurants were very nice. Food served at dinner was excellent.

The breakfast could use more consistency in providing basic items, e.g. black tea or yogurt that were served, but on some days they were not there.

The rooms were very comfortable. Hot showers and soft beds are wonderful. It is very close to Manuel Antonio park and the beach. Easy walking distance. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The pool and pool area are very pretty. We had a wonderful stay.

The road leading to the hotel is narrow which makes driving and walking a bit iffy at times.

The satff went out of there way to help us have the best experience in Manoel amotinou . the park was full and they made all the efford to find tickets at the regular price . beautiful pool . they also let us shower alter checkout 👏👏

Pool. Location. Vegitarian option at morpho restaurant. Nice security guard. Nice garden. Lots of animals! Recent remodel of the shower. House keeping did nice job. balcony. Nice garden.

Staffs were variable, some were extremely friendly and helpful others weren't. Smelly bathroom despite recent remodel, their plumbing is done all wrong and the sewage smell was yucky. No sound proof.

Staff is very friendly. Room had all you need including un umbrella wich is very handy on a rainy day. Location is perfect, very close to the National Park and Public beach.

Restaurant closes at 10 (from 9:30pm we were told kitchen is closed) we couldn't eat anything until next day. All restaurants around the hotel closed as well, I really recommend getting snacks for the night from before.
