the staff is extraordinaire. they offered compensation for a one night satélite TV problem that was far from being their fault. super attentive. super kind.
maybe the stairs. no elevator so if your high strung on stairs that might be a downer.

Beautiful room in a beautiful hotel. Lovely rooftop pool and sun deck. Good breakfast included and a great location.
A bit pricey but very nice hotel

Giant rooms with both an enormous bathroom and a bathtub. Beautifully decorated and a central location in Centro. Very close to the port and everything else. Very relaxing pool area on the roof and delicious local breakfast. But best of all was the lovely and helpful staff. My Spanish is very limited, but they made me feel right at home. Would rate it 11/10 just for the staff.
Nothing. Great stay!

The property is perfectly located in El Centro. Anywhere inside the wall would be good to stay as you can walk anywhere in the historic area in about 20 minutes. The property has BEAUTIFUL shared spaces (including a rooftop with a pool) and very spacious guest rooms

Location.
-We booked a "junior suite". Nowhere in the listing mentioned that there is no window.
The only "window" there is turns to the patium and you cannot open the shades without also having the window totally open, since they turn inside. So your alternatives are either no light at all or being completely exposed to the whole lobby.
-The hotel states that "rooms on the first floor might be noisy". Might have been our fault for not asking, but the floor was never stated. There was noise from the street and also from inside the hotel as soon as people began working. If someone rings the bell to get in, calls the hotel or speaks on the phone in the lobby, you hear it.
-There is ZERO sound isolation in the room.
-The listing on Booking mentions that the room has a hairdryer. This is false. When we asked for one at 7pm one day we were told "it is in another room and impossible to have it now". Nothing more, no asking if other guests were using it still, no mention of how long until we could have it, just that it was not possible.
-The WiFi worked badly for the first 24h and then no more. Only in the lobby and even then unstable. We mentioned it. Nothing happened.
-The bathroom light is turned on already inside it. Small light switch, big compartment, good luck finding in the darkness that is this room.
-It smelled increasingly of sewer in our bathroom during our stay. We only stayed two nights but by the last morning it was pretty disgusting.
-Humidity is over the roof everywhere and you can also smell it.
-There is no free drinkable water in the room. Water from the tap is not potable. If you ask, they will provide with a jar of water, but they will not let you know beforehand that this is a possibility.
Overall, we feel completely underwhelmed. We feel like we paid for a lot more than we got and it left a lot to be desired.

nothing! really lovely place

Pretty hotel and relaxed environment (unlike the rest of the city...). Our room was very beautiful, and the breakfast was also nice and fresh, and flexible to accommodate an early trip to the islands. Well located within the city center (street was not too noisy)
We had some issues with the internet, but it was promptly solved by the hotel staff. Also some issues with (lack of) hot water for the shower.

I have been to Cartagena + 20 times and stayed in the Chain hotels and the boutique hotels. This is the first time I found the magic spot in Cartagena. Location was ideal for walking everywhere in the old city. There were 6 restaurants within 150 meters of the hotel that I would rate 5 out of 5. For quality of food and service. This hotel however only has 5 rooms and I recommend the Master suite #105. The service at this hotel is nothing like you have experienced anywhere. Oscar, Jose, & Jason catered to every wish and question you might have with a smile and energy. The maid who took care of the room, was exceptional! I rewarded every individual I have noted with a generous tip because they EARNED it!! Thans a squillion!
The internet was impacted by rain on two occasions and could have been faster, but I am spoiled with speed in the US, so I am not sure this is a fair complaint.

The location is perfect, right in the middle of the history city
maybe they should improve the maintenance of some areas of the house

Very comfortable rooms in the middle of the historic center. All the staff were very helpfull. This is by far one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip in Colombia. We defintatelly reccomend staying in hotel Aguamarina!
Nothing of the hotel, the hotel was outstanding. There is only one thing what was horribly annoying, that are the rappers on the street. They are very aggresive in giving a rap following you from and to the door of the hotel and begging for money. Just saying "no gracias" isn't enough.

Beautiful hotel. Staff were attentive and helpful. Roof terrace was lovely. The room was beautifully designed, clean and away from all the noise of the street. Very peaceful place to spend time.
Breakfast was a little bit basic with not much choice for a vegan. What I did have was fresh and tasty, so no real complaint on my part really.

Breakfast was good. We enjoyed the fresh fruit, coffee. Eggs and local food was delicious as well.
The music that played late at night. I know it’s very difficult especially being in the center of the city.
