Novotel Gent Centrum

I especially liked the service and attention from the staff/receptionist who made me feel comfortable after a long day of travelling by train (and train delays). Thanks to Mrs Serda and my upgraded room, all the stress was forgotten. Well done Novotel, and the very Attentive and Helpful Staff! Keep up the Excellent job! :-)

Great central location and very relaxed, clean and attentive staff.

Problems with the shower- blocking up and hairdryer did not work. The curtains had missing hooks so looked a little shabby.

We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Gent Centrum while celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Ghent, and we really enjoyed the beautiful view from our room. The staff were friendly and the room service was very good. We especially appreciated the lovely surprise for our anniversary: a bottle of red wine and a card waiting for us in the room. It was a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more special. Thank you! 🤍

We didn’t experience any issues during our stay. Everything went smoothly and we were very satisfied.

We came to Ghent for just one day so our daughter could see the city where she was born. We chose this hotel through Booking.com because it offered parking and was located in the city centre and rented a suite. The location was excellent. There was a magnificent view from the windows. Unfortunately, our evening was accompanied by a local band at the Stadshal blasting what can only generously be described as techno “music”. Needless to say, it did little to improve our chances of getting a good night’s sleep.

There was an unpleasant smell in the lobby, something reminiscent of a cheap toilet air freshener. The parking spaces in the garage are extremely tight, so parking a full-size car would be very difficult, if not impossible. The room interior felt tired and worn and could definitely use some renovation. Breakfast was OK, and the staff were very friendly, which helped sweeten the pill a little.
