Failte Hotel

Everything

Myself and my three brothers were to stay for the night. But unfortunately one of my brothers were unable to travel because of an accident which left him unable to travel with us. When we put this to the person at reception we were told to call back again about 15-30 ish to see about getting a discount in the room he was to share with the other brother, but when we returned at around that time we were told the lady who could make the decision about the discount had gone for the rest of the day and nothing could be done about it. We felt as if we were just fobbed off. This really annoyed us to be honest. The rooms, facilities and location were first class, myself and my two other brothers all agreed on this. This would have been our first this away together in over forty years, but unfortunately accidents do happen. We loved everything about the guesthouse/ hotel, but we were just disappointed in away not to get a discount for the other room. But we enjoyed our stay and will possibly book it again in the near future.

Hotel is right above the restaurant and pub. We were able to get a great breakfast in the morning, and enjoy traditional Irish music in the pub at night. Great location in the city - we never took out our car during our stay.

There are no lifts (we expected that though), and needed to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs.

The people and the location

Nothing

Lovely welcoming staff, nice big room and location in the heart of everything!

Through no fault of the hotel staff we got zero sleep due to a loud room of lads next door. They shouted and roared all night and it sounded like they were in the room with us. At one point they were knocking on our door as they were confused by which room they were in!
