International au Lac Historic Lakeside Hotel

Located at the quiet end of the lakefront promenade. Good sized room with sufficient surfaces and storage, comfortable bed, good wifi, working safe. Great bathroom (roomy, good hot water and water pressure). Great breakfast selection, tasty and fresh, and wonderful cheerful breakfast staff in multiple languages. Garden patio and pool are a lovely bonus (quiet, lots of seating, hidden behind building). Take time to read the property history they published, enjoy the art hanging on each floor, and peek into the museum (I loved the old telephones and switchboards!).

Only negative was the squishy soft pillows, your opinion may vary.

Excellent location, helpful and friendly staff.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The lakeside location, just off the old town, is beautiful but the whole hotel is amazing with extra rooms full of historic materials, pictures, maps, books and so on. You could spend hours looking round. The breakfast was exceptional too, with cooked chestnuts, figs and other less common things to eat. It was amazing value for what you get.

Ein klassisches Hotel mit großzügigen Räumen, feine Ausstattung. Ein hightlight: der Garten mit Swimmungpool (den wir nicht genutzt haben). Zentrale Lage direkt am Seeufer, nur kurze Wege bentlang der gesamten Promenade. Freundliches Personal und sehr gutes Frühstück. Ein eigens Parkhaus direkt am Haus macht es besonders bequem.
