Hostal Don Alfonso

Central location and additional security measures

Room was a little small but manageable

Location.

Location was excellent but with that comes a bit of street noise until things settle down outside. The hostel itself was very quiet inside and the night was silent. You are basically paying a lot for the excellent location (steps away from shops, cafes and the plaza center) because the rooms, while they were fine, were very basic. Clean and adequate room with a small, but sufficient bathroom. Beds were okay for comfort - a bit firm. The staff were hit or miss - mostly disinterested/dismissive but we had one gal that was helpful and kindly gave us directions to a restaurant and advice on getting to the airport! They are definitely charging a very high price because of where they are located!

Exceptional location, nice staff. Nice to have the reception open 24/7. It looked like the pictures.

No toiletries (even though it was stated that there would be, I had to buy hand soap), there was constant noise both from outside, the corridor, and the rooms next to me. Very uncomfortable pillow, hard as a rock. The room was very small, but that was expected.
