Cielo Boutique Hotel & Spa Samui

An absolute dream of a stay and hotel! 🥰 The rooms were spacious and felt so luxurious. We loved the open plan layout. The breakfast was really tasty and the pool area was stunning. The highlight of the stay was the attentiveness of the staff, especially at the restaurant, nothing was too much trouble. It was my birthday whilst we were there and to my boyfriends’ request, the staff organised a little surprise in the room which was so beautiful! The location was fab too, just a short walk to Fisherman’s village with lots of bars and restaurants. We would definitely return to Cielo! Such a gorgeous place with relaxed vibes.

The cash security deposit was a little inconvenient. It meant my partner and I would be left with a large amount of cash at the end of our holiday and unable to make use of that money. However, Kat on reception (who sings wonderfully in the evening by the pool😆) was lovely and gave us the money back a couple days early so we could use it on our trip. Perhaps taking this as card instead would be better.

Der Deposit in Bar war/ist ein wenige nervig, da wird direkt nach dem Aufenthalt wieder heim geflogen sind & man somit das Geld mitnehmen & unnötig umtauschen muss. Es sollte heutzutage auch mittels Kreditkarte möglich sein, wie in vielen anderen Ländern / Unterkünften.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cielo Boutique Hotel & Spa. 🤍 From the moment we arrived, there was something incredibly special about this place. Our room was absolutely picturesque and immediately made us feel at ease, with this overwhelming sense of calm that stayed with us throughout our entire stay. The whole property has the most beautiful tropical-meets-European elegance. Everything is incredibly clean, beautifully maintained and thoughtfully presented. You can genuinely see the amount of care, effort and attention to detail that goes into maintaining this hotel. The atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing, and everything from the facilities to the rooms was comfortable and beautifully considered. The food deserves its own mention because it was honestly some of the best we had during our trip. The kitchen and chef are incredible. We loved it so much that we consistently ate breakfast, lunch AND dinner here — we barely wanted to eat anywhere else! To say we became obsessed with this place doesn’t even cover it. I also booked a massage during our stay and it was exceptional. The entire experience just added to how relaxing and special our time here was. But one of the biggest standouts has to be the staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. A very special shoutout to Yaya, who was absolutely incredible. He is genuinely one of a kind and made such an impression on us. Having him there to assist us throughout our stay made the experience even more memorable. We were also lucky enough to meet the owners, who were fantastic. You can immediately see how much pride they take in their hotel and how much they care about the experience they create for their guests — and it really shows in every little detail. There is just an amazing energy about Cielo that is difficult to put into words. We are genuinely so sad to leave. This has been one of those places that you don’t just stay at, you actually miss when you leave.

Location is good - close to fisherman’s village and right on the beach (the beach is just ok (sand is rough and water is not clear) but that is not in the control of the hotel). The staff were lovely and accommodating. Small resort which offers classes.

I would say the hotel is not value for money. The room is spacious but as with other reviewers there is limited privacy without closing curtains due to the low gate height (there aren’t many people in the resort but the pathway is also used by restaurant guests so worth noting this). This is more of a beach club with music playing at all times than a hotel and spa- the main attraction is the pool and access to beach. I would not come here for wellness. There is no communal area, the only space is the restaurant so limited space (with ac) outside of the room or the pool. Room cleaning staff appear to be short staffed- sometimes the room is not cleaned until early evening which can be difficult as above there is no communal space outside of the room. The locks were fixed during the stay but the marks left on the window were not cleaned, screws left in the room and at several occasions the cleaning team left the door unlocked (see above re access to property for restaurant guests). Rooms are not soundproof you can hear when people in the next rooms if they are having a shower or listening to music. If you are staying for more than 4 days the breakfast will be repetitive - would be better with a partial buffet or wider options on the menu. These are all issues which I wouldn’t expect for the price I paid. I think there is better options which are cheaper on the same road- see Anantara or Hansar.
