A litte Taste of Home Guest House

My room (Hajar) was beautiful and very spacious, comfy bed! The kitchen is shared, but was kept clean and I used it to prepare snacks etc. The place is close to a Metro station but I found it to be quick and easy enough to walk to the Akropolis, Plaka, etc.

If you are a light sleeper, it might not be the best location for you. It's right beside the train tracks, and the train can be heard (and felt) throughout the night. I had my ear plugs, but wouldn't have done without!!

The decoration/interior is casual but tasteful. I like the eclectic taste of this room. And it's spacious. It's like the kind of apartment that I'd like to have if I move to Athens one day! Definitely would like to come back one day!

Liked the neighbourhood,good vibes, a good selection of restaurants & bars, 5 minute walk to metro from property.But an easy 12 minute walk to the Greek ancient Agora.

The room was a good size and the air conditioner worked well. I found everything in the kitchen very convenient - not only plates and cutlery, but also the washing machine, clothes drying rack and iron. Once I found where to switch on the hot water heater for the shower, the water was a good temperature, and the shower had decent water pressure.

Check in was very poorly organized. It said on the listing that the property provided luggage storage, however when I called to ask about this they said they'd get the cleaner to let me store my luggage before check in time, and then failed to give me the return call they'd promised to let me know when this was possible. Even after several hours of holding onto my luggage, when the check-in time arrived and I came to check-in, the cleaner hadn't finished cleaning the rooms. I had to wait another half an hour before I could finally get access to my room to shower. As other reviewers have noted, the property is also right next to the train line so it can be loud.
