Our second stay here and we loved it. The cottage is well equipped and beautifully located on the banks of the Nile. 30-40 minutes away from Jinja town, it's close enough to all restaurants and POIs if you have a car. It's so peaceful and tranquil that we're already planning our next visit - would highly recommend!

Buyala Bliss is a two house compound overlooking the first major set of white water rapids on the Nile outside of Jinja. The house we stayed in was simple, well appointed, with beds upstairs--a large bed in a master bedroom with with its own balcony, and a mezzanine which contained two single beds. The bathroom, and kitchen are both downstairs--on ground level. The kitchen is somewhat basic but has most things that one would need for a short stay. The grounds of the compound, which are parklike are very nice, there is a lovely pool, and very nice fire pit with benchs overlooking the Nile.

Our stay was great, so these comments are not complaints, but to provide others with a bit more information. The compound is a bit of a drive outside of Jinja (30 or so minutes total). While part of the road is packed dirt, the later section is a rutted dirt road, which particularly in the rainy season, would be difficult to navigate and impossible without a 4 wheel drive. The further house in the compound, is near a fence which clearly borders on a walk way for the local community. We had people passing by frequently including kids (school was out) who were very curious about us. This was all fine, but, for those seeking more privacy, this could feel a little intrusive--all of which could easily be addressed by growing a thicker hedge or a more robust fence.

A very beautiful spot. Very nice house with every comfort. 20 minutes drive from Jinja. Such a nice view on the Nile from your terrace and a beautiful swimming pool.

Didn't have breakfast from the facility. It is suitable for visitors who are ready to prepare themselves meals

No provision to buy anything from the property and shopping facilities are far from the facility

You can hire a wonderful cook at this stay, which gives you even more relaxing time.

Isaac called to confirm our arrival and met us. The villa is perfect - one queen bedroom with balcony, two single day beds on the mezzanine level and another downstairs. Bathroom well set up, water pressure light. The kitchen is well equipped - coffee maker, pots and pans. Gas stove and oven. Some items in the kitchen need updating, Isaac happy to help. We cooked our own meals and if you wish, a cook can purchase food and cook for you. There is a second villa on the other side of the property, so both have privacy. Nice swimming pool and loungers and a great view of the Nile. Isaac, the manager was available to help at all times - he booked boda’s and a sundowner boat trip, extra items for the villa, anything we needed, Isaac was happy to help. This is a great property and we will absolutely return. Thank our Isaac for making our break relaxing and fun.

Water pressure is a bit light, but not a problem. Some kitchen items need updating, although there are plenty pots pans and cooking items.

The terrace overlooking the nile and the swimming pool. Ideal for a weekend with friends.

The playground is nice but not the best for toddlers.

could be good to have another toilet in the cottage we stayed at as we had to pass our friend sleeping and the stairs are a bit difficult to navigate at night.
