Very nice property. 3 bd townhouse nice and clean for the 3 couples traveling. They are strict on check-in time - not a minute early. On check-out, somehow all of our key cards were disabled at about 10:00 am - checkout is 11:00. We were enjoying the property so had to go back to front office to get a working key so we could actually get in the unit and out by check out on time. They said it happens - to ALL keys??? They also texted a couple minutes before 11:00 am asking why we had not checked out. Maid asked if she could get in at 8:30 am as we were heading over to the breakfast buffet... they want you gone...

My family of 4 adults only stayed one night but wished we could have spent more time at this property. The condo was extremely clean and well maintained. Having 2 pools (one was heated), kayaks, paddle boards and bikes at our disposal was a nice perk. Although not a sandy beach (bring water shoes), it was relaxing to sit in the sun and watch the sunset over the water. The continental breakfast was surprisingly generous, offering many options.

Communication with the owner was great, because I had many questions before booking. The staff at Lime Tree Resort was very professional and assisted immediately when needed. The breakfast at the restaurant across the street was delish and a great way to start the day. Will definitely stay here again! Thank you

Property is true to the pictures. It was just a perfect stop for us to get a break from our long drive. Breakfast In the morning was also really good. I called to check on the status of our room, it was ready for us earlier than posted check in and there was no issues with getting in an hour early. I didn’t write her name down but I believe it was Melanie who I spoke with. We talked like we known each other for years, the other woman at the counter was very helpful also.

Unit looked better on Vrbo website than actually is.
Overall still a good value for the money we paid. Our main issue was how clean the place was. It needs a good improvement in that department as the floors were dirty and the bathrooms had hairs in tubs, floors and on clean towels. Other than that the place was really good for our group of 3 couples which we had 3 bedrooms and bathrooms which worked out nice. This place just needs a good house keeping staff and it good be great.

Lime Tree Bay Resort is a nice little resort The listing on VRBO is not by a single owner. The 3 bedroom townhomes, where we stayed, is across Hwy 1, on the canal side and is part of the resort. The canal side is pretty and we even spotted a manatee on our first day. The 3 bedroom townhomes noted they offered three king beds. This is false. The master bedroom was the only king and the others two rooms only had full size beds. We were disappointed in that but the rest of our stay was fine. The townhome was clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. If you needed extra towels we just called the front desk and they dropped them
off for us. Beach towels are also provided. Each townhome has a carport for one vehicle, an outdoor patio and grill and by the pool is a covered picnic table area. The townhome side has their own pool and it’s quiet and less windy on that side. To get to the main resort you have to cross the highway which can be a bit tricky if it’s busy. Just take your time and don’t be in a hurry. On the resort side they have a big pool and a very lovely beach area with lounge chairs and hammocks under big tall palm trees. A beautiful setting indeed. We stayed for 4 days and this resort is centrally located between Key West and Miami. We flew into Key West and spent the day there then headed to our townhome in Layton, aka. Long Key where Lime Tree Bay Resorts is located. We were able to spend a day in Islamorda and a day in Key Largo. You could fly into Miami as well. We really enjoyed our stay here. The only complaints is the highway noise and having to cross it each morning for the continental breakfast and to go to the beach. The townhomes could use a little updating as well. Other than that it was a nice place for us to stay. I would highly suggest staying on the beach side of the resort so crossing the highway is not necessary. The staff was really nice and the resort was clean.

Very pleased with accommodations. Clean and comfortable. Additionally we were unexpectedly given use use of all of the amenities from their hotel across the street. Another unexpected treat was the complimentary buffet breakfast at the restaurant across the street.

Overall a great option but there was some items that could have been done better seemed there was some deferred maintenance. Not a bad options to have 2 or 3 families stay together on a budget.

The cleanliness fir this property was horrible. Just walking on the floors your feet got black. It felt like a greasy kitchen floor. Check in was delayed by 1.5 hours due to a new washer/dryer getting installed. Housekeeping only 1 out of 4 days our room was “cleaned” boat dock needs to be replaced/repaired due to splintered boards and rotting posts. Garbage near the fish cleaning station reeked and was never emptied during our stay which stunk up the entire pool area. AC not working well first day but was fixed the following day. We love the location and layout but will not stay here again. 2nd floor shower was scalding hot and could not be adjusted.

All I can say is WOW!. We have been to a few VRBO's in the past that look great in pictures but turn out to be something else. This is not the case with this place! What a great place to call our base camp for a week in the Florida Keys!
Check in was super easy with the property managers. When we got there, our townhouse wasn't quite ready so we walked literally 15 feet to the beautiful beach and pool right outside the office. Once we got in, it was a great little townhouse with plenty of room for our family. The grill outside on the canal was bonus for us as we grilled our fresh fish that we caught down the road.
Easily situated between Islamorada and Marathon, we had an easy trip to both places and all the amenities you might need. It is 1.5 hours to Key West from here, but its a great trip down and we made the drive twice.
I do wish they had a few more cooking utensils, in the townhouse. We prefer to cook ourselves and just a few more items would of made it easier, but we made what we had work for us.
This is a great place for anyone who doesn't mind to drive a little bit for the peacefulness of the the Florida Keys. Can't wait to get back here soon!!
