Amazing

We used Emerald-Cliff House as our home base for our annual girls weekend. Location to the historic downtown home to find restaurants, bars, and shopping was only a short walk away. House had all the amenities we needed for the long weekend: cozy beds, well appointed kitchen, and plenty of seating to be able to hang at the house to catch up on everything. Neighborhood was quiet, and we enjoyed the front porch swing to wind down the day.

My daughter and her bridesmaids stayed at this property and loved it.

The property description leads someone not familiar with the area to believe it is in the heart of Downtown McKinney and that you can take a short walk to Downtown. This is NOT the case. Private back yard is tiny, no seating and over grown with weeds. Interior was clean, no problem there. But check in required an additional step that I have not experienced with other VRBOs- you have to read an addition email with a set of rules to get the passcode for the door, but it is not provided when you first make the reservation, so it generated some confusion and delayed our check in, until I could learn the expectation and satisfy it. Also, at this price, I would not expect to have to strip the sheets. We would not stay here again.

We enjoyed this darling house and it was perfect for our party of 4 for the a girl’s weekend. The bedrooms are spacious and the interior of the house was amazing. The only issue we had was that the backyard, fire pit area, and flower beds were overgrown with tall weeds. Definitely not like these areas were shown in the listing. Other than this detail the property was fabulous

Great house to stay at for our trip to the DFW area. Wished we had more time to stroll around the historic downtown McKinney. Lots of nice shops and places to eat that are not chains! Great communication with the owners. No problems at all!

We came for the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (if you haven't heard of it, add it to your list!). We were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the town of McKinney is and this house is the perfect gateway to enjoy the town. I walked to town one afternoon and had a pleasant stroll. We did spend several hours relaxing on the front porch swing and reading. The kitchen worked great for us to whip up a little cobbler for dessert. Nice house in a wonderful town.

Super clean, well designed place. The outside of the house does no justice to how nice of a place it is inside. Very well cared for and really great location in McKinney.

This was a staycation for us. I live in the town next door - but my mom was visiting from out of town and we wanted an easy get-away. We also stayed with my friend and her mom. This was a well decorated home, very clean and had everything we needed. My mom was ready to move in:) One thing to note - the driveway is rocky and a little steep and there are stairs to get into the house. This may be a factor for some people. We did not use the outside, the yard needs a little TLC to make it a space to hang out in during a nice day.

Our grandfather has recently downsized, so when our family of 7 from Houston want to visit, we can’t stay with him. We are so glad we found this house! It was perfect! We have stayed in VRBOs across the US, and this was one of our favorites! Everything was clean, well maintained, exactly as advertised, and well thought out. We will book the next time we visit also!

Enjoyed our stay. Hard to find in the dark. Nice and quiet. We were in town for a wedding so did not spend to much time at the house. Very clean. Found a window open in the front bedroom upon our arrival. Needed an ironing board. We enjoyed our stay.

We met at this newly renovated housefor our annual Girl's Christmas gathering. We were excited about the proximity to downtown McKinney and all of the holiday happenings. The house was great and provided all of the amenities that we needed.

Brittany was great; super responsiveness and helpful. The house is a great little vintage cottage, beautifully updated, functional and charming near downtown. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Beds clean and comfy, nice size shower, good storage for travelers, all the amenities needed. Neighborhood is residential and a quick drive or uber to the downtown shops and restaurants. Two recommendations: privacy shades needed in front rooms at night. The house is on a bit of a hill but because the lace curtains are see-through, it was a bit uncomfortable not being able to close blinds at night. McKinney is a safe little place but still, privacy at night would be nice. Also, there aren't lamps in the living room and sitting with overhead lights on is not ideal, so I suggest adding a lamp or two. Otherwise, we had a great time, made popcorn, heated up restaurant leftovers, loved the kitchen amenities and extras, appreciated the coziness and the host's quick responsiveness to questions. The front porch swing is a nice touch. We enjoyed this cottage and our stay!!

Great little house with some nice upgrades. FANTASTIC location to everything in McKinney. Plenty of room for 5 of us. Check-in was super easy. Highly recommend.

Great house for a girls weekend! Perfect house /location for a weekend getaway with family /friends

The listing for this made this house seem adorable. Don’t get me wrong- it was! Very old house newly renovated with great appliances (and keurig!). The beds were comfortable and seemed to have clean bedding on them. When I first pulled into the gravel driveway i immediately noticed a cord hanging in the tree almost to the ground from the power lines. I do not imagine it was live, but still. There’s not much privacy in the living room. They definitely need actual curtains. The tv was large and had Netflix so that was nice to watch at night. When going to bed after TV, I noticed that the master bedroom did not fully shut and it would not lock. This made me uneasy as I am used to sleeping with my door locked, especially since my spouse had not arrived yet. Overall, cute old home close to downtown square of McKinney.

This home was perfect for our trip to McKinney. The location to the McKinney square, and all the fun restaurants and shops, was just perfect. The home is just as pictured, very clean and nicely decorated. Check in/check out and communication with Brittany was super easy. We'll be back!

Beautiful home in the historic downtown area. We were so close to so many nice restaurants and shops! We had a great time!

The house was just as pictured in the listing and was within walking distance of several restaurants in McKinney. Great place to stay while visiting Texas.

Everything was fine. Only negative is the bathrooms are pretty small and tight.

It feels like home so this charming property is wonderful to visit again and again.

We loved our stay in Emerald Cliff. The home is thoughtfully decorated and there were so many special amenities. The beds were very comfortable and the living area was great for relaxing.
