I had a wonderful 5 day stay in the apartment in Kolonaki. Easy to get to from the Metro (blue line from the airport), only a short walk up the hill. The apartment has a spacious bedroom with comfortable bed, neat bathroom with good water pressure in the shower and incl a washer/dryer, and a small but fully kitted out kitchen with a kettle, microwave, fridge, stove and oven, and utensils etc for 2 people. The area is lovely, as a solo female traveler never felt unsafe, and there are many cafe's, restaurants and bakeries nearby, as well as a few convenience grocery stores for essentials within 10 min walk. I never bothered with cooking, as you are spoilt for choice with food options nearby! The blue line takes you to the historical old town and the vibrant Monastiraki area (more restaurants and shopping), and the other lines are easily accessible as well in a few stops to get around the city. Communication with Maria and her mother Despo was excellent before and during my stay. I was met at the apartment by Despo who explained the set up of the apartment, and again to return the keys, all at my convenience, and the welcome gift was appreciated. Wifi was good and consistent. All in all I would highly recommend this small, but perfect apartment for singles or couples. One small thing to note is due to the proximity of restaurants etc, the area is noisy in the evenings, but if you are noise sensitive earplugs will work. I did not notice at all, but know that some people struggle with noise - my best advice would be to get out there and join the locals in the lovely city of Athens!

Nothing at all, but to note for travelers with limited mobility, the area is on the slopes of a hill, so an uphill walk from the Metro, and there are approx 5 steps to get to the apartment door

The Noise From the Street

Very clean, excellent location, extremely comfortable, ideal place for a stay in Athens.

Great little apartment in a fantastic location (25 min walking away from the main Athens attraction, 3 min from the Metro station that is directly connected to the airport). Facilities are great (kitchen, washing machine, coffee machines, etc.), large bed, A/C and so on. It has everything you need for a few days and more. I would definitely consider going back if I'm back in Athens.

It is on an elevated ground floor.

Communication with hostess was great from the beginning and what a friendly,kind lady!. The apartment was spotless , had everything we required and felt like home. Location was convenient with surrounding eateries and quiet.The bed was large with a very comfortable mattress. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Loved the rainhead! Would definitely return and highly recommend
