Everything with the property from check in to check out was perfect! Ideal place for our family to experience an Alaskan winter. Northern lights, ice fishing, hot springs, mushing, and reindeer were all close by. Hosts were excellent and communication with them was always answered immediately. Thank you so much!!!

Great cabin and good location. All incidentals included. Really appreciated the to-go coffee cups. Very clean and well appointed. Easy access even in the winter, large driveway was plowed and deck was shoveled. Thank you! Would definitely stay again if we are back in the Fairbanks area.

Came out to see Northern lights and location didn't disappoint. House was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for our whole family. Kids loved the games too

We enjoyed our time at this property. The grandkids loved playing in the yard. The property was clean, cozy and away from the city!

The cabin was roomy, well equipped and extremely clean. The beds and furniture were comfortable. We loved the remote location and well maintained outdoor areas. We would definitely stay here again.

The accommodations were great. Everything we expected! It was warm during these cool summer nights. Although there was a lot of rainy weather during our stay, the entire cabin stayed dry. We were out seeing sights and hiking most of our stay, and a cozy cabin to eat, shower and rest made it a wonderful stay.

We felt safe in this property. Calm quiet neighborhood. We had an amazing time with the family playing in the large yard. Everything looks just like the pictures on the listing; Beautifully decorated with the bear theme throughout the cabin. The kitchen was well equipped too. Great location with a short 30 minute to Chena hot springs. Definitely a 10/10.

The cabin & location is perfect for spending time at china Hot Springs or Fairbanks. The cabin is beautiful, set up with what you need & very accommodating. The owners are quick to respond. Our party of 6 ladies really enjoyed it.

We stayed for 15 nights, Mar 11-25, 2023. Reason stayed in Fairbanks was to view Northern Lights. Sent Owner a list of issues we found during are long stay. We had Issues with coffee brewer, Microwave, shower (drainage), Frig., toaster, fire alarms (sensitive) couch (extremely soft), bed mattresses (soft)., water has High iron content and creates stains (toilet, laundry). If issues are resolved would be a very good place to stay. Sleeping arrangements not conducive for 3 couple that like to sleep in same bed. One Queen bed and a fold out couch in living room.
Disappoint with VRBO, not sure what value their listings of a property means. Other than renter paying a lot for the advertising of the owner. Stated content correct but condition not.
Positives issues: viewing area for Northern Lights -good, Television system worked, heating was good, had backup generator, hot water,

It was a wonderful stay, no surprises, property just as described. A few family members didn’t make it, so we had extra room, but everything was fine. Comfy beds, pillows, plenty of blankets.. instructions were clear. We honestly didn’t spend much time there aside from Sleeping. It seemed to be 20-30 minutes to get anywhere, so location might be a consideration. But this property was fine for us.
Note: Bummed we didn’t see any deer, elk, northern lights or Bigfoot! :-D. Not sure if it was due to the time of year?

Nice accommodations for a large family. We loved watching the provided movies and playing games that were already set up in the cabin!

We have stayed at this property several times and every time has been a joy to stay there. It’s very peaceful and there is something calming about the setting. We have seen northern lights every single time we have been there . this year They weren’t that great, but if you only come for the northern lights and don’t experience everything else around you, then you’ve missed out on 90% of the trip my son and daughter both went dog mushing. We spent time out at Chena Hot Springs. Also went to the ice carving competitions which are always fun. my wife and I have chased the aurora borealis around the world, and Fairbanks has always been the best so far but we realized if you only go there for the northern lights weather nature can and at some point disappoints you so if you go . go for the experience, Russell and Monique are fabulous people I think we have gone three years in a row now and already booked for next year . the wild life is always fun to see and if you’re there long enough, and the right time of year you will see the northern lights

Perfect home away from home!! This cozy three bedroom home in the woods is a perfect place to stay if you want to be away from town but well within an easy drive to all things Fairbanks. We had an issue with heat and the owner, Russell, came out immediately to get us settled in. He stayed and chatted for a while and had some hilarious stories to tell. Friendly and very responsive owners! The house is equipped with everything you’d need to cook, eat, clean etc… We saw the Northern Lights from the property without having to drive anywhere. Went to the hot springs. Ate crab legs at the Chowder House. Visited the Ice Museum (meh). Went to Escape Room AK and escaped the asylum with ten seconds to spare, and saw the Alaskan Pipeline. Each night coming home to a warm and cozy cabin for a nightcap, TV, Yahtzee and sleep. We love Fairbanks and will be back to this wonderful cabin in the woods ♥️

We were in Fairbanks for Aurora viewing and XC skiing.
The house was well suited for 6 of us. We did purchase an extra blanket as the pull-out couch area (living room) got a bit chilly when all the doors to the bedrooms were closed, but was a comfortable chilly with an extra blanket. The kitchen was stocked pretty well, but my standard complaint about almost every VRBO holds - no sharp chef's knife - but we made due on that front without difficulty.
The property is on a very large lot with a very large "back yard" to setup a camera on a tripod for nighttime photography. So, we did catch the Aurora and it was amazing.
The owners (Russell and Monique) are amazing and friendly people - reaching out to make sure our stay was going well and asking if we needed anything.
XC Skiing was great - both locally in Two Rivers and in Fairbanks at Birch Hill. Birch Hill is a world-class XC Ski area.
Chena HotSprings was fun - 25 minutes from the house. Restaurant there is good, slightly pricey, and the wait can be long. But given enough planning - a good spot to eat.
Overall - great place to stay and plenty of local activities (oh, Dog Sledding activities close by were fun and the dogs are always great to say hi to).

It was -40 out, but the cabin stayed relatively warm. The bedrooms were comfy warm, and our group had space to spread out, or come together for a game of cards. Every night we were there (December), Aurora came out- a few nights were spectacular!
It was a bit of a drive to Fairbanks or to the Chena Resort (40-50 minutes), but Fairbanks does an amazing job with their roads, and it was not a difficult drive. In fact, I always enjoyed them. We never tired of the pink skies and mountain views as we drove to town. Of course, being a little further out helped us see Aurora better too! We'd recommend a dip in the hot springs, a trip to the museum of the North, The Great Alaskan Bowl Company, the Chowder house, McCafferty's coffee house, the local Breweries, and the Flightseeing tour with North Alaskan Tour Company- all very doable from this jumping off point!
Our hosts were wonderful and provided tons of resources for things to do. They kept in touch via text when some work needed to be done outside (which we would have had no idea about they were so unobtrusive!) and were super from start to finish.
A few more items in the kitchen would be useful (potato peeler/masher, metal spatulas), but the pots and pans were great, and we had what we needed to make several meals in the cabin.
We would happily recommend this to others, and already have!

My family of 5 enjoyed our stay in Fairbanks, thanks in part to this clean and cozy cabin. Monique and Russell were responsive and helpful as we were coordinating logistics before our trip. Would recommend their place to others!

We loved the location, the property was in good condition and well stocked with kitchen wares. We would have liked to be able to make fires in the wood stove but it was not allowed. Had a problem with fumes from the oil fire furnace as it is not well vented! However we really were happy with the cabin overall.

We highly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Location was not too far from Fairbanks and on the nights it was clear, we could see the aurora very well. I had a camera but even got some shots with my new iPhone. Owners were responsive to questions. Verizon has good signal here but AT&T is poor. Using the WiFi I could do everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again. Only thing is I wish it had 2 queen beds so I could bring more people.

The cabin was great. We were comfortable and had everything we needed. One small glitch when the electricity was turned off for the new generator to be hooked up. It was only 30 minutes but we couldn’t cook, shower, do laundry etc. until he finished. It would have been nice to be aware it was going to happen. We looked hard for the Northern lights but no luck from the yard. You would have to have perfect timing on a perfect night. We did a lot of driving to get around to attractions but if we’re just going to hang out it was quite and relaxing. We did wish for some air conditioning during the early evening it was a little warm. We might stay again later in the season when temperature was less of an issue and now there is a brand new generator.

I stayed there for three nights with my friends and we enjoyed our stay. It has all useful utility like refrigerator, wash machine and dryer. The house is about 30min drive from Fairbanks downtown so you can just wait for Aurora inside the warm house instead of heading to any view point in the midnight

I could write for hours about what an amazing location and cabin this is. The cabin was very clean, tidy, and well stocked. There were games for the family to play, both inside and outside. The yard was huge with plenty of room to enjoy family time. Have you heard mosquitos are bad in Alaska? Not at this property. We were actually there when the mosquito company came to treat the perimeter….not one mosquito on our 9 day stay. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices and even a crockpot. The location is fantastic and far enough outside of Fairbanks, so you have your own little slice of heaven. The owners were great communicators and responded very quickly to questions. Our family loved the bear scavenger hunt and spent days counting and recounting bears around the house, great idea! The kids loved it! We will definitely be coming back to this gem for Aurora viewing some day. This property gets an A+!

We traveled to Alaska from Oklahoma with our 3 kids, one is in a wheelchair. This house was perfect and had everything we needed. Very clean and stocked with little things that were great for the kids such as a few snacks so we didn’t have to make a trip back to town the first night. The owners were very responsive to messages. We will stay here again if we get to come back.

Comfy Cabin
The cabin was as comfy as can be with lots of the conveniences of home. We saw the northern lights from the porch while drinking hot chocolate! Our hosts were very responsive during a brief power outage that actually made for better viewing of the northern lights. We already want to visit again.
