We've stayed in this unit 8 years in a row and you simply can't beat the location - right on the beach, right next to downtown. That's about where the positives end. The unit is not maintained in any meaningful way. ALL of the screens have holes in them and neither screen door on either slider works. Despite pointing this out during our stay last year, it wasn't fixed again this year. The microwave above the stove has been inoperable for years and rather than being replaced, was substituted with a countertop model when counter space is already sparse. The dishwasher and washer and dryer units both need replacing. Suffice it to say, we've grown tired of waiting for the owner to do what is needed to be done with this unit and will not be staying here again.

We very much enjoy staying in this unit for a month every fall. It's lovely and the owners have updated things very nicely. The cleaning service used in between stays does a poor job of cleaning the unit thoroughly. We bring this to the attention of the management company each year, but it doesn't seem to change. If you can live with doing your own cleaning, you will enjoy everything else about your stay.

The condo was great for our family of 5. We had plenty of room to spread out and were comfortable. The condo balcony is right on the sand facing the ocean. Very close to the swings, which could use some WD40, but other than the constant squeaking, our stay was great. I would have liked to have more towels so that we didn't have to share. Not sure if I should have asked the office or brought my own. The kitchen is TINY but we managed. It lacked some basic kitchen utencils like a can opener or cookie sheet but we figured it out. We loved being able to park and leave the car all week since we were in walking distance to everything. The pool was clean and inviting. We love staying at Pismo Shores Estates.

We left some specific notes when we turned in our keys. Minimal furniture for comfort in the living room (no coffee table, poor end tables, poor lighting). Kitchen window very dirty, also blinds on that window. Tried to clean up somewhat. No working lamp in guest bedroom. Large cooking pot is missing a handle. No measuring spoons in kitchen. Selected it because we have stayed in Pismo Shores several times. We were told on the phone that this was the end unit (which we have rented many times). It turned out to be the second from the end unit. A disappointment upon arrival.

Had a great stay. Great location. Beds were comfy and living room was comfortable and well lit. We did bring our own DVD player as there is not one provided. We do a lot of cooking and the kitchen could have used a bigger selection of cooking tools and the barbecue has seen better days. A few light bulbs were burned out and the refrigerator water was not hooked up for water and ice. Called the CVR office and everything was fixed the same day. Overall it was a very nice place and we are planning another stay next summer.
