RuinAdalia Hotel - Adult Only 12 Plus

It was very central, right in the heart of Old Town, beautiful grounds and it has its own private museum only for hotel guests which you have to arrange in advance to go see and definitely worth doing. The breakfast was nice, lacked a bit of variety though and you could order eggs from a menu which they did not tell us and we only noticed when someone else did it.

The shower in our room was not working properly and was leaking and the stream was like little spikes which made showering painful, the tv wasn’t a smart tv and angled sideways so not comfortable to watch while lying in bed. The hotel includes parking but it is so tight to park there and you cannot reserve it in advance, they have 4 spots only. We were lucky to get one but if it wasn’t free we would have had to park somewhere else and pay for it. The main entrance to the hotel is open to the public and you have a lot of people from the street and tour groups coming in so it can get very busy.

Beautiful pool and bar areas and the food is excellent. The breakfasts are freshly prepared including delicious breads made in the kitchen, fresh ingredients and the breakfast staff was superbly attentive and helpful. We ate dinner only one night but it was so delicious and again the service was amazing. Rooms are spacious and we very much enjoyed having a terrace to sit out on. The location couldn't be better as you can walk everywhere in the old town. Hadrian's gate is very close as well as the port. You can easily get to beautiful beaches. We loved the tour of the ruins under the hotel.

The decor and bathrooms in the rooms need renovation. The first room we were given was large and light but the shower valve was broken making it hard to use. The shower head was blocked so water came out at all angles. The showers also leak which has caused long term damage. The other factor to bear in mind is noise levels. We observed that most hotels in the old city are subject to hearing music from adjoining hotels and bars. In this hotel the music goes off at midnight, but in some it is later.

Amazing location in the centre of the old town Ruins below the hotel are spectacular. Service and ambiance is amazing.

Do not drive in the old town streets are narrow and very limited parking

Beautiful big room, but pretty old

We had a beautiful, large room, but it was rather old. The bathroom was not very clean, especially the shower. The overhead shower was covered in limescale and broken: the water came out from the top of the shower head instead of the nozzles. The hand shower hose was leaking, and the sockets in the bathroom did not work. At our request, the overhead shower head was replaced and the hose was repaired, but the sockets were never fixed.
