Breakfast was not included and cost £6.50 for continental & £9.90 if you also wanted a full English. There was a queue for toast as the two toasters were very slow (luckily there weren't many people in the restaurant at the time). However, the staff were very helpful and friendly.

We had stayed here 15 years before, but under the new ownership the standard had definitely gone down. The furniture is old and nothing matched. There was no information in the bedrooms (we had to ask reception for the wi-fi code). and when we returned on the first day, our bed had not been made (apparently we had to put a sign on the door, but nobody had mentioned this to us). The taps in the bathroom had a lot of limescale which could be cleaned very easily.

Great place in a lovely village. Lovely couple running the place - great food and very dog friendly.

The room size is not advertised correctly, the.room is 5.5m by 3m, which does not make 39m2

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and our room was fabulous. The food was exceptional. All freshly cooked and good value.

Lovely location, really wonderful staff, terrific Sri Lankan meal, bar is welcoming and lovely. Clean.

Bed not great, pillows worse, shower took ages to get hot and poor water pressure. No hand towel. Whole place is dated. Parking really hard to get into.

Beautiful hotel & pub

Hotel represents really good value for money. The rooms were basic but had everything you needed. Direct access to outside on the ground floor and rooms, as requested, were adjacent. Some noise from residents overhead due to very old property with creaking floor boards but was not intrusive. Very friendly staff and lovely pub on site with good food available.

Plumper pillows would be lovely. Bed was a little firm.

Staff all friendly and helpful. Room 5 opposite reception great with own entrance for our dog. Lovely quiet, little village. Ate in bar and nice busy atmosphere. Excellent value for what we paid.

Car Park could be a bit tight for some.

Lovely old building Lovely village and church Handy for central Cotswolds Staff extremely welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. Since the Sri Lankan operators have arrived the cuisine is excellent. The Steaks in particular were great quality beautifully cooked and presented.

Nothing to not like but still plenty to do to bring some tired areas up to the standards which the new operators and owners seem to aspire to. Plenty of evidence of this intention during our visit.

Great value for money.Comfotable large room (upgraded). Breakfast served in a well appointed dining area. Full English was very good. Continental was also available. Would certainly return, and also recommend.

Light bulb was on its way out in the bathroom, which didn't bother us as there was good lighting from the mirror light. Informed hosts who thanked us and said that it would be replaced immediately.

Lovely location loved the venue rooms comfortable There was a mix up with booking I'd booked twin room and it was full so gave us family room it was nice but not what we wanted, the staff was apologetic and gave us a meal on them, which was delicious.

Room was very comfortable and even though it looked out on to the road it was quiet.

Did not have breakfast as only served from 8am and I needed to be on the road at that time. A full length mirror would have been useful and I was not able to get the dressing table mirror to open.

Had everything we needed. Easy access. Clean. Toiletries in the bathroom. Tea/coffee/milk provided. Parking at hotel appreciated, as little available in the village. Breakfast ok, but little choice on continental, toast or cereal only.

Property fine. Went to bar on a Saturday night at 9.55pm and told service had stopped and we couldn’t have a drink. Disappointed that as residents and at that time on a Saturday night, couldn’t get a drink.

The hotel was in a fabulous location and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. We had dinner and the Sri Lankan meal was excellent. I am allergic to nuts and coconut and they cooked a special meal for me. The hotel was excellent value for money.

The only thing missing was a hairdryer in the room. I only found out once I had washed my hair and couldn't dry it.

The hotel was lovely , Olay worldly , the village was lovely, the staff were friendly, kind and helpful, and the food we had was great, we had the Sri Lanken 3 course special, I can highly recommend it, overall great

breakfast was very good. The food at dinner was delicious, and the staff very helpful. They all worked very hard indeed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom spotless.

there didn't appear to be a hair-dryer, which would have been useful.

The entrance to the car park was inaccessible. We damaged our car trying to get through the small arch.

It was a lovely quaint hotel, clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.

Unfortunately, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the sheets kept sliding off the mattress. Glasses in the room were very small and the remote control wasn’t working as well as it should.

A friendly welcome to a village pub with rooms. I had a small room in an annexe which was comfortable and quiet. I enjoyed the Sri Lankan meal which was an option on the evening menu.

I wasn’t able to park in the hotel car park as it was impossible to manoeuvre through the narrow archway with a large van parked on-street opposite the entrance. However, I found a parking spot further down the street.
