HOTEL 101 KANAZAWA

We LOVED it! During our 3.5-week trip to Japan, we stayed in all ranges of hotels - from super fancy to more basic - so we saw a lot of options along the way. This hotel (house) was tucked away on a local street, with simple charm and comfort. I didn't realize when I booked it that we'd have our own house to ourselves. We felt like locals, and we loved it! We've been to Kanazawa before, and we found it easy to walk to sites and revisit areas of interest. And the coffee shop/breakfast downstairs was a terrific way to start each day. We had our own private space in the back, and the food, atmosphere, and service were fantastic. (We were not able to dine at night because the restaurant was booked, so plan ahead if you want to enjoy the dinner experience. I'm sure it's fantastic too.) We would definitely stay here again.

The place was cozy, clean, and busting with character. Ryoko took sick good care of us, and the breakfasts were amazing.

The breakfast was superb, which has been commented on by other visitors, is served in a tatami room. The location is a five minute walk from the train station, so very convenient. The hostess is absolutely charming and she works hard to ensure you have a good stay. The bathroom/wetroom was clean and modern and worked well. If you are looking for a big hotel with a very wide range of facilities then you are probably better off choosing a hotel chain. If you want a taste of real Japan, with a high level of personal service, then this is the place for you.

The TV had a limited number of non Japanese channels, but the w-fi worked well through out.

The most outstanding Hotel we had on our 6 Week Japan Trip. Ryoko as a host is so supportive and her hospitality is outstanding. Breakfest was the best ever with high quality bread, fruits and sweets etc. The room was a suite with so much space and View to a small but beautiful Garden.
