Check-in was at 4:00. My sisters and I arrived at 4:15. Upon arriving, we could not get in because code to Master Lock was incorrect. We called a representative to get the correct code. We finally were able to get in at 4:30. Upon walking in, we explained to the representative the conditions the house was in. The house had not been cleaned after previous guests left. All three bedrooms were unmade, sheets had not been put back on bed, towels still in the washer, trash still in the garbage can; overall the house was not cleaned. We were told by the owner the cleaner had an accident and would be there to clean within the hour. First, the previous guests had to check-out at 10:00; what time was the accident? Secondly, we explained we were there for a family funeral and did not have time to wait for a cleaning, which I assume would be at least 2 hours....if house were to be thoroughly cleaned. We had not been notified ahead of time that the house would not be ready. We didn't have that kind of time as we had family obligations and showers to take beforehand. Therefore, we had to check into a hotel. I spoke to a VRBO representative who feels we should get a full refund (I sent pictures of the house). The Patriot Family representative wants to give me a voucher for full amount. I'd prefer not to have to deal with them again and receive a full refund.

The house could've been cleaner. When we arrived there were leaves and bits of trash in the washer, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, cobwebs around the ceiling, and the bathrooms could've been cleaned better. There was plenty of space for our family of 6 and even for visitors. The kitchen table is small, only seats 4, and not very stable. There are some chairs, again kind of rickety, and a couch, broken on one end, and a very scuffed up coffee table in the living room. There are several rugs throughout the house but they aren't secured to the floor and they move around alot. We were all able to sleep upstairs, thankfully, because the bedroom downstairs stays very cold and we realized that there is a large hole in one of the windows that's been covered by thin foam board. The couch downstairs is in rough shape. There is a large crack in one of the bedroom windows upstairs. The neighborhood is older but a lot of homes are either remodeled or in the process of being remodeled. We never felt unsafe and the neighbors we met are very nice. Overall it really seems like the minimum was invested to make this a rental. In the master bathroom paint it bubbling. There are signs of water damage around the ceiling in areas. The dryer has to be run a couple of times to dry clothes completely. The appliances look dented or damaged. The first time we preheated the oven it smoked so bad the fire alarms went off. There was a mess on the bottom of the stove that was covered with foil instead of cleaned. The dishwasher doesn't dry the dishes. The back porch seems a little unsteady. There is a very nice sized back yard for the kids to play in but keep in mind that it isn't fenced. The curtains in the master bedroom are very thin so as soon as the sun comes up it's bright in the bedroom. The mattresses are comfortable. There aren't any dressers or drawers in the bedrooms for clothes storage and only a couple of hangers in the entire house. There is 1 TV in the house and the remote doesn't power it on/off or work the volume. I realize that most people may not want to clean much while on vacation but we stayed for 3 weeks and I wish they could've had some cleaning supplies other than a broom available. I bought a cheap mop and borrowed a vacuum from a family member. The wifi worked well. The host was quick to respond to questions. Overall, I would say this worked for our needs. We wanted to be in a certain area and this worked well. There are some great restaurants nearby

I messaged the owner to request an early check in, but he denied it, saying it wouldn’t be available. Since we had nowhere to go, we waited outside the property for a few hours until check in. The property had been ready, but the owner didn’t allow us to check in for some reason. Upon checkout, 2 cleaning people came to our house about 40 minutes before check out, to “remind us” of our checkout time. They proceeded to wait in the driveway until we were out. I’ve never experienced that before in a rental, it was frustrating. Outside of that, the place is decent. It’s clean and the location is ok and safe overall. Only 1 TV. Not a lot of towels/blankets.

My family of 6 stayed here for a wedding in May. The house was perfect for us. Our older boys had the basement floor to themselves and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out upstairs. Everything was clean and new and comfortable. I would rent this house again.

This home was amazing! It was perfect for my get together. The pictures online accurately represent the home in person. It was in a nice neighborhood and we all had a great time!
