Wonderful place and good staff

The bathroom was very small

It was clean and in the city centre

They made us wait for check in . As the mentioned checkin in at 12:00 we got it by 1:45

Breakfast was filling. Location next to Tahrir Square. The Old Antiquities Museum. All kinds of transportation.

I have stayed here many times in the past 5 years. I saw a roach once. The en suite bathroom needs maintenance. If you ask for an early check-in, they say yes, but they make you wait till 1 pm every time.

It was cheap.

There was no sign on the outside of the building to show that the hostel was there - luckily we got a taxi and the driver showed us where it was. For a tourist, the location was bad. We didn't feel safe walking around there. The curtain was hanging off - they hadn't attempted to fix it. The bed and pillow were hard and uncomfortable. There were stains on the mattresses. We had to keep asking for toilet roll. The staff were unapproachable and unwelcoming. The whole building looked derelict, and there was lots of drilling late at night. The photos on Booking.com are not accurate
