Six of us, 4 adults and 2 children, stayed here for three nights and we had a fabulous time. The property was as described and Warren was quick to respond to our questions. The beaches were beautiful, plenty of shells and shark teeth and we enjoyed taking the golf cart around the island. This was easily one of our most relaxing vacations and we won't hesitate to book again.

Great property, clean, a little outdated, but great for a family. Owner was extremely responsive and friendly. Public beaches are not that close and are not populated. Most of the island is private beaches for individual homes. $55 ferry ride every time you want to drive off the island. Everything worked and house is fully stocked with towels and kitchen stuff. Would highly recommend new mattress in master bedroom. Great porches and pool was nice to have.

We picked this property for our annual family beach trip— a month long getaway!! It appeared unique and truly had an “old Florida “ feel!! Access to island is strictly via ferry— so make sure you have enough groceries to keep you fed and happy!! There is one small convenience store on the resort property and one restaurant!! Residents not affiliated with the resort are welcome to use them! We came prepared and enjoyed every minute of our getaway! The property was very comfortable— the kitchen was ideal for our needs, internet and tv connections perfect, great a/c, a pool with easy access to the home area, plenty of linens, beautifully decorated, and a golf cart for cruising (at an extra charge but worth it!) We saw bunnies, turtles, lizards/iguanas, and the very popular BOBCAT!! Great for bird watching and shelling—- also sighted a manatee “coupling “ from the beach! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming!! It was a perfect family trip!! Highly recommend !!

Beautiful home! It was very clean, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. Warren was always quick to respond and helpful with info. FYI…you can drive your personal vehicle to the beach access points and to the parking lot for Coconuts and Rum Bay. Someone will take you from there by golf cart. Can’t wait to go back!!

House is very nice and clean on the inside. Outside around the pool could use some update and cleaning. Locks on some of the doors are tricky as well as the ignition key on the golf cart . Be gentle inserting the keys and everything should work fine. Would recommend and rent this property again. If you enjoy quite this is the place.

Off the beaten path, a very short ferry ride, this property was absolutely wonderful for our family. We stayed here for 4 nights mid Aug and couldn’t have asked for more. The home is wonderful, the island is beautiful. Private pool and miles of beaches just a golf cart away.

The property is exactly as described. We liked that the home is centrally located on the island. It is just a short walk or drive to the public beach accesses and the bridges for fishing. The home was very clean, and everything was in excellent working order. The kitchen was very well stocked. The small table on the deck was perfect for eating breakfast and lunch. My wife and I love being outdoors, so most of our meals were prepared on the gas grill. The pool was such a refreshing amenity to have during the hot part of the day. We were pleased that the pool area was fenced, so our small dog could lay in the shade with us while we relaxed on the loungers or took a dip in the pool. It was very convenient that there was a golf cart available with the house for a small fee. We had the most wonderful stay at Terrapins Hideaway. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. We are already planning our return. We really appreciate that Warren was available at all times to answer any questions we had. Thanks so much Gordon family for sharing your lovely home with us!

Enjoyed our stay here very much. House is clean and cute. The pool is a big plus! Golf cart, unfortunately, was out of order so we rented from the resort. My only recommendation for the owners is to get new pillows and mattress in the master bedroom. Beware of railings going up and down steps, grand children got several splinters. Air conditioning is nice and cold and there’s plenty of hot water. We would certainly recommend staying here.

The pool was a definitely a plus on warmer days. The beach chairs, umbrellas, and golf cart made trips to the beach very enjoyable. We so appreciated the island creatures; our dog loved chasing lizards and we loved watching the island wild life including the Gopher Turtles. The shelling on the beach was the best we have experienced. The owner is outstanding; very helpful, very friendly, quick to respond, and made sure we had everything we needed. All in all this was a great adventure for us and we are looking forward to a return visit.

It was a very nice stay just wish the propertys manager would of reached out to me. There was also some damage in the master bathroom and the back patio furniture from what we guess was a storm that happened a few days prior to our arrival. But thank you none the less, we would definitely book again.

The property is located on palm island, an absolute secluded tropical paradise. There is no bridge to the island and you have to drive your car onto a ferry to get across the intercoastal. Because of this, the island is totally secluded and there is hardly anyone at the beach.
This place is located off the beaten path right by the fire house on the island making it a great get away for a group of friend. Warren the owber/property manager is super easy to communicate with through text and very helpful. Everyone drives golf carts on the island and Warren is willing to rent you his own personal carts which, in my opinion, is a huge plus.
The house also has a little pool. Despite the pools small size, it is great for cooling off or hanging out in the summer months. Many of the properties on the island share a neighborhood pool. So having your own is huge, even if the pool is small.
Finally, the house has plenty of space for 3 couples. The master bedroom is huge and has an awesome master bath. The kitchen has a lot of functional space that can be both cooked and socialized in at the same time. The living area is neatly decorated and was great for watching football with the crew!

Private pool was perfect (especially since we had red tide issues 4 of out of 7 days). TVs w/Roku in all rooms was a win! Nice new beach chairs & beach umbrellas. Golf cart rental is a must. Only thing missing was a broom or Swifter for inside and a small cooler to take to the beach.
