This beautiful house was our home for New Years 2024. It was an amazing stay. The kitchen is a large space with an eating counter along with a dining table—room for everyone! The living room has a wall of windows—the true star of this home—the view. The bedrooms are comfortable—the master is large with another wall of windows. Opening your eyes to the sunrise over the water gave the impression you were in a boat cabin in the ocean. Our guests were treated to the same view on the third floor with private balcony. The sunrise is breathtaking—but the sunsets steal the show. The owners were responsive and helpful. We will definitely return.

We celebrated Christmas here with the family. The balcony on the 3rd floor was a glorious experience on Christmas day. Warm, stunning view and very private.

This house was perfect. Plenty of room in the kitchen for all of us to cook. Living room sat 6 comfortably to talk & watch TV. Beds & bath comfortable. The location was perfect. Every week we went to a different theatre & rode the train n2 NYC for a show & dinner. The ONLY drawback 4our 72yo knees was the stairs 2the bedrooms but you really dont find any houses up here that dont have bedrooms upstairs! We loved the house & hopefully will return!

We stayed at this property Aug 2023, 6 adults (3generations). It was a great location with the water so close it splashes up on the deck at high tide. Looking out if feels like you’re on a ship! The main space was super comfortable and easy.
Location is quiet but also we were there a little at the end of the season.
The owner was good to warn us about the stairs… there are a lot! Once you are up to the 3rd floor the upper deck is worth the trip up the stairs.
Kitchen was pretty well stocked with basics…lots of great seafood around…

We were 3 gen and we all enjoyed every minute - including the beautiful water views from all 3 floors, kayaking/fishing, swimming, walking the beach and to Salt Island. We found everything we needed for a great time.

If you want ocean views and the beautiful sounds of the crashing waves this is the place for you! It was such a gorgeous place for our family to enjoy while attending a wedding at a resort less than a mile up the road. We will be coming back for sure.

We found the house clean and ready for our stay. The house looked newly renovated and has everything one needs. The kitchen is spacious, and has all the necessities. They had a new Weber grill outside. We were the first people to use it.
The outdoor patio is as shown in the pictures.
During low tide, you can walk out on the sand. During high tide, the water comes up to the patio stairs.
WiFi coverage was good throughout the house. TVs have Roku devices attached to them for everyone's entertainment.
The location is convenient to get to different attractions.

This home is as close to the Long Island Sound as you can be, with unbeatable views. Though not as luxurious as some properties on the CT shore, the house has a good layout, is family friendly, and we had a very good experience with the host.

My family and I stayed here over Christmas. It was our first year with everyone with their own families and figuring out in laws etc. my younger brother came down from RI. We all said this home made us feel like we were right at home, we were worried about it feeling “hotely” over Christmas but it was so warm and welcoming. This was during a bad storm and the homeowner went above and beyond to communicate with me and make it work. We would for sure book this again! We are already talking about a summer trip.

Amazing location with spectacular view. Three generations had a wonderful time. Plenty of sleeping space and good sized living room and kitchen. Weather was unseasonably warm so even got to enjoy the decks and beach more than anticipated. Great place!

Owner was very pleasant when I spoke with him. Overall, the stay was enjoyable, but too bad that the amenities and overall quality of the build-out of the home were "B-", whereas the listing led me to believe they'd be an "A", which would require significant improvements.The home did not seem prepped for guests - the dryer was full of linens, and the ripped coverings were still on the outdoor furniture. The home had not been well cleaned - floor under beds and sofas had lots of dirt/dust/sand. The statement in the listing that the home was recently updated is quite misleading as many of the fixtures and amenities - cutlery, coffee maker, etc. - are quite old and in need of replacement. Electric blinds do not open properly (one side sags), and there is black mold above the shower head in master bedroom. Lack of outdoor dining table limits ability to fully enjoy the beach-facing deck.

Wonderful house (though stairs could be an issue for folks with physical limits). We’ll equipped with amenities and the view couldn’t be better. Hosts were very responsive - even made a trip to bring us a cable for a DVD player and hooked it up for us. The neighbors were very friendly, but it was a surprise to have the visitors from the houses on either side so very close - might be an issue for anyone looking for privacy (and the barking dogs might bother some). Other than that, a great place to stay.

This little jewel box is tucked in a row of charming oceanfront homes in a well-established neighborhood. The house is renovated with all the comforts of home and has an absolutely unbeatable view - morning, noon and night. Jon and Carolyn were outstanding hosts - immediately responsive to any question or issue that may have come up. We'll be back!

Location was beautiful. The most amazing low tide with beautiful sand bars and an island to walk out to. The 3rd floor accommodations were a bit smaller than what we anticipated from the pictures and was not as functional for our older family as we would have liked. The 1st floor and 2nd floor were beautiful.

We had a wonderful time enjoying the house and beach. At low tide walking to the island was amazing. Our grandchildren loved it! The owners kept in touch with us to make sure everything was going good! The neighbors were friendly. In all a very great time! The house had everything we needed .

Our family of four (me, my husband, kids 21 and 16) enjoyed our week at this lovely beach house. Everything was just as the photos if not better. Plenty of room for all. You could even comfortably have a set of grandparents too. The ocean waves literally lap the stairs of the back deck. You can’t get closer than that! The 3rd floor deck with fire pit was relaxing. Everything you need is here, boogey boards, beach chairs and even corn hole! For rainy days, they have Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble and 1000 piece puzzle. In the area, for fun, you could go to Mystic Aquarium or make a spa appointment at Waters Edge up the road. Also daily music there too. Overall a wonderful week. Our hosts Jon and Carolyn were amazing,, very good about communicating before, during and after our week. I highly recommend this house!!

We just returned from a much needed vacation at the beach. Nice stay right on the beach!
We spent the week here for Spring Break with the kids. The beach was beautiful, though we had a nor'easter while there and high winds and wave for 2 of those days. The waves were so high it came over the porch. The last day was beautiful though and the kids loved it. I was a bit surprised that the house did not have nicer linens and some of the beds were not fully made - it wasn't a huge issue, but surprising for the cost of the rental. We also had to buy liquid soap for the bathrooms. Our kids loved the house though and it was nice to have access to netflix, etc in the main rooms. Overall a great stay and beautiful views.

We had a great time! The only issue we had was the heat was left off so it was very cold it took till the next day to warm up. But the house was great and the beach was beautiful.

Oh, the view!
Our vacation goal was to be on the water, and this property delivered! Right on the beach, and even closer to the water when the tide came in! We visited in the winter, so didn't get to have a "beach experience", but we got the view, the sounds, the smell.
It's a very unique property tied to local history. The renovation work did a good job taking advantage of the uniqueness. All of the rooms were well appointed with comfortable furnishings. We appreciated the color palette the homeowners had chosen, very tasteful. The kitchen had all your basics for preparing meals; and the dishwasher was a definite bonus!
The neighborhood was very walkable - with a pharmacy in walking distance, and many restaurants and services just a short drive away.
Have I mentioned the view? Come for the view!

It was a gorgeous house with amazing views of Long Island sound. The host is a great communicator whom answered all our questions promptly. We hope to stay again sometime.
