Our family decided to take a last minute vacation to get a final week at the beach. We found this house available in Clinton and decided to go for it. What a great house! It’s clean and open and ideal for a family of 6. Great bedrooms and the beds were super comfortable. Awesome big kitchen. Great views all around and easy access to the private beach which was perfect for our kids. Super convenient to town and walking access to great restaurants. Lenny & Joe’s and Beach Donuts we’re huge hits. We’re already thinking about booking again for next year. The owners - John and Doug - were great to work with and very responsive. Highly recommended!

Our family has stayed at this property for a week each of the last 4 summers. It is something that our kids talk about months in advance. It is rare to find a house with private beach access and central air conditioning along with modern conveniences and an open floor plan that makes hanging out with family a true joy. The beach is so great for kids, and we really appreciate how it shades over in the evening to provide a nice cool late afternoon beach experience. For a full-sun beach, the association beach is a block away and is large enough never to be crowded. At low tide the sandbar emerges from the water and is great fun for kids and adults alike. One of my favorite parts of the house is the screened in porch that overlooks the salt marsh that is behind the property. I've spent many hours reading, chatting with family, and watching thunderstorms in that corner of the house. For my in-laws and kids who travel with us, the en suite bathrooms are a big plus, giving every couple and the kids their own bathroom. We had some technical glitches with the air conditioning at the end of our trip, but the owners were very fast to respond to us and they had someone to the house quickly to assess the problem. While they couldn't fix the problem that day, we had a workaround solution (including ceiling fans in each bedroom) that kept us comfortable for the last night of the trip. This little hiccup will not prevent us from booking a trip there again next year.

Everything about this property is phenomenal - highly recommend for families of all ages looking for a private, quiet, quaint, and relaxing beach getaway.

The house was the perfect size for what we were looking for with plenty of rooms and beds. It was in good shape and access to the beach/little patio across was ideal. We ran into an issue with the oven not working but the owner was very responsive and tried to address it. The beachfront neighbors on either side we very friendly. We all had a great week.

We had a great week in Clinton. Great location. Loved the 4 bathrooms and the open concept living. Lots of games for the whole family. Nice beach with sandbars a 5 min walk.

Enough room and bathrooms for everyone to be comfortable. Neighborhood was great for biking. Lots of day trips, antique places and restaurants to go to. Great for paddle boarding too!

We had a fun-filled week at this open spaced beach house. The house is great for larger groups with a large kitchen and lots of space to spread out for meals and gatherings. We were a bit disappointed as the house has a definite odor and smelled of septic from time to time. The house wasn't very clean upon arrival as well (moldy shower curtain-eww). There was a very small private beach which is shared with two other houses. It was great to have a private beach but the area is so very small. If there are only two people traveling, the beach would be adequate; for a larger group like we had, it was difficult to make enough room to enjoy beach games and such, but we made it work. Overall, it was a great week.

First rental since VRBO took over HomeAway caused confusion in communications. While trying to find out information on return of the security deposit the owner said contact VRBO and VRBO said contact the owner. The house was gorgeous but there was some issues with the basement bathroom, outside shower, and dehumidifier that toook a couple days to rectify.

Very comfortable and relaxing property. The kids enjoyed looking for treasures on the beach, and I enjoyed listening to the waves roll in while reading a book on the deck. Great communication with the owner as well.

Enjoyed another great week this year. We will be back next year

So much room for our party of 8. Open living area is the most spacious we have ever had for a beach rental. Can't beat the bedroom and bathroom setup either. Perfect location. Lovely views out back over the marsh. Glimpses of the ocean out front. Rocky private beach just across the street is perfect is perfect for little ones and lounging. A bigger, more sandy beach is about a 10 minute easy walk up the quiet street. Low tides are awesome, especially at the sandy beach where you can walk out to the sandbar. Easy walk or drive to numerous good restaurants. Our extended family all approved and enjoyed the place. Only possible minor recommendation is that a baby gate be provided for the stairs and blinds be provided on the master porch door (only because we happen to have a little one). Highly recommended.

We did find the house older than expected and linens in particular in need of replacement. The house was also pretty musty and it took a while to air it out. The basement bedroom never lost the musty smell even with the windows open the whole time.

This was our second time at the property for a week and we were very happy with the stay. It works great for kids and the beach is perfect as it is shaded in the afternoon/evening. An excellent place for a family trip away.

We had a terrific time! The house met all our needs with three generations sharing the space (close to restaurants,grocery shopping)the views very so relaxing ;the grandkids loved the beach and regularly checking on the osprey nest with their binoculars ; Dairy Queen was a bonus and the central air was delightful especially during the heat wave the last few days! Beds were very comfortable too Jon and Doug provided everything needed to make this a memorable vacation -

We had a three-generation family reunion - everyone, ages 76 to 2 years, had a wonderful time. The water was lovely and there was plenty to see and do in the area! House is perfect for 8 people - we were all very satisfied with our accommodations - beds were comfortable and all the bathrooms were great. Our first visit to Connecticut and I would love to do it again. Clinton is a charming little town.

Everything was wonderful. Enjoyed the private beach.
