Steps from a lovely beach. Room enough for the 3 of us. No AC in July made it very hot. There are fans provided.

The day we were suppose to check in the owner calls to tell us that he has to reimburse our money and cancel our reservation due to electrical issue. He was so rude and did not care how inconvenient it was to cancel at the last minute. Also he said guess left a note there was an electrical issue at 11am. We were suppose to check in at 3pm. Cleaning practice states there is a 24 hour vacancy between guess. Thats a lie and inconsiderate. When voicing my concerns he hung up the phone in my face. So unprofessional, unpleasant and disrespectful!!!!!!

This rustic cottage has all the amenities you need to just show up and enjoy your stay. We were close to shopping for our teens, seafood dining and steps away from west beach for strolling in the sand and watching the sunset. We relaxed on the decks - one with a brisk salt air breeze and a back deck that was a bit more sheltered from the breezes.

The minute we walked in we were at home . The casual beach theme, clean and extremely comfortable beds and linens were the magic touch for sure. We would go back hands down . No fuss no problems just a real nice experience . Why would anyone ever want to stay in a stuffy hotel when they could spread out and really relax while on vacation or just attending a family function like us .Thanks well done Donna and David ! A wonderful, inviting place to rest and renew. It's everything that is advertised and more.

Our family loved the close vicinity to the beach. 2 beaches are within a couple minute walk (one private/one public). We also spent part of a day at Hammonasset State park which was a fun adventure and great place to swim! Towels and a few beach chairs are provided at the cabin. The neighbors are friendly. The cabin is warm (no AC) but there are a lot of fans available for use so it cools down at night. The cabin is funky and inviting. It felt like we were staying at Nana’s beach house…if only our Nana was cool enough to have a beach house!!

Did not disappoint one bit! Will be back again for sure!

I have stayed here with my family before. We knew what to expect as far as amenities and layout of the house. It's right next to the beach and has a deck. Those are the highlights for sure! FYI this house gets hot! There are window fans supplied, but I usually bring my own box window fan when we stay here. It seems to work better at pulling in the cool air at night. If you prefer a super cold house with AC, this is not for you. What we didn't expect this year was the hurricane. Our stay was shortened due to the hurricane and mandatory evacuations. This was my first time dealing with the owners and they are WONDERFUL. They were communicative and flexible with our stay. I was so grateful to have salvaged half of our stay because it's our last year to all get together for a while because my brother is just about to have a baby. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :)

This shabby chic beach cottage was “blast from the past” adorable! Great location across the street from the beach. Clean and quiet. A sweet little getaway! Owners were gracious and nice to deal with when we had to cut our stay short due to a potential hurricane.

I was absolutely overwhelmed how amazing the cottage is! You can see the ocean from the front porch and the marsh/inlet from the back! Salty Ocean breezes keep the cottage cool and give constant reminders of how close you are to the water! You literally walk across the street to the private beach! The cottage is very quaint with all amenities and lovely beach decor! Very clean and owners are very helpful and accommodating ! We will be back for sure!!! Thank you so much!!!!

The cottage has a wonderful wrap around deck allowing all to sit in the sun, view the water or have a meal on the fresh air. Both the public and private beach are basically at the end of street one house away! Low tide exposes sand bars allowing all to walk out to the small islands!!!

Small, but perfect for our family This cottage was a stone's throw away from 2 beaches. We loved Coral Sands Beach as it was never crowded. We loved walking around on Seaside Avenue and taking in the sea salt in the air. Although the cottage is a bit outdated, we did not mind as we spent little time indoors and only returned to sleep and relax after long days of fishing or at the beach. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. They responded to inquiries within hours. They placed directions and notes everywhere around the cottage and made it very easy to transition into this dwelling for the short term we stayed. Plenty of things to do in Westbrook and neighboring Old Saybrook. We have stayed near the shore before and knew exactly what to do for leisure. We will definetly stay again and hope to make it a annual summer staycation getaway! Thank you Dave and Donna!

Cute little place. Conveniently located on the CT shoreline. A little stuffy without any A/C. Has all the amenities you need for a week stay along the coast. Short walk to the beach (or drive the two blocks and park for free w/ your renter credentials). Close to Mystic, Groton and only a half hour drive to RI.
