The pool and location were amazing. Your bartender, Pantelis, was incredibly hospitable.

Staff Friendly

Almost everything! Marvelous position overlooking beautiful Sami Bay, right by the hotel beach. Wonderful staff, well-trained but also great people-people. Excellent double bed, comfy room, good shower. Greek yogurt and honey at breakfast as good as any we've had in many trips to Greece. And cakes, wow! Spotless, very friendly, very easy hotel to be in, so an excellent, relaxing stay for us. Of the three main hotels in the Sami area, this is the best in our experience. Will come again!

Very minor things - some sunbeds were a bit dodgy. Difficult to get at the many books in the little library area.

1km walk to the restaurants overlooking the beach. The beach is rocky so it's a bit uncomfortable to walk on without water shoes. The room wasn't clean, which I couldn't get past (grime, mould, and shampoo residue in the shower). I was too scared to touch surfaces. Rooms get quite a lot of noise from other rooms opening and closing doors. I booked 1 night with the intention of booking 6 more if things were good, but I immediately checked out the next morning and went to the next island. If I had have stayed longer, I would have bought my own cleaning instruments and spent 20 minutes scrubbing the shower, as it really was that bad. The wifi was unreliable (but I think that's common on Kefalonia generally, except for perhaps agostoli). The location is nice, 10 minute taxi to one of the most stunning beaches I've ever seen (antisamos beach), with blue water, tiny fish, and smooth white pebbles. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was average. The pool was lovely, huge and with stunning views of surrounding mountains and beach/sea.

We had a lovely stay at Sami beach hotel - lovely aspect, clean, great food and friendly staff. I would really recommend it!

beware that the beach is stony. Water shoes are big help if you want to swim.

I travelled with my two children (11 and 13 years). We enjoyed our stay at Sami Beach Hotel and particularly the staff was brilliant. It is a family run hotel, which is reflected in the service provided by the staff, which is very welcoming, helpful and personal. We felt truly relaxed when we left. The breakfast was really nice with great variety. We stayed in a double room with Mountain View, with an extra bed, and we felt the room was a good size (even with the extra bed in there) and the mattresses comfortable. It is lovely to have the option of both pool and sea at the hotel. The hotel also offers a brilliant taxi/car service (which is much better than the local taxi option), airport transfer (which I recommend you use), hire cars (subject to availability). The location is brilliant. There is a lovely taverna by the sea a few minutes walk from the hotel and Sami is a lovely 15 min coastal walk, which has everything you need (restaurants (by the sea), supermarkets, bus service, souvenir shops, laundrette, post office etc).

The only thing we were struggling with at the hotel was the WiFi, which was very weak/slow.

The staff is the best I've ever dealt with in a hotel in my entire life! Exceptional people, always with a sincere smile in their faces and always willing to help in everything you need. People at the reception, at the bar, and even the hotel's owner, are always ready to make you feel great in your stay at Sami Beach Hotel! I travelled a lot in the last 20 years and I had never dealt with such nice people in a hotel!

The mattress was too soft for my back. This is the only thing I didn't like about the hotel.

We were made to feel very welcome. The hotel was clean and safe. My children enjoyed the breakfast and we loved the location. Will recommend to friends and family.

Great breakfast and wonderful pool. The staff was very friendly and the room comfortable and clean.

The entrance to the hotel is not clearly marked when you drive from Sami so a bit of caution is advised.

was checked in to a diff room was told of the issue compensated by having 60 Euros taken off the first night. having a sea view experience was part of the stay felt cheated. would be nice if shampoo or shower gel is offered

Location to main attractions as well as the breathtaking view and grounds. The beach bar was always going on with a friendly host or conversation to be had. Sami beach hotel was as stunning in person as it appears online and even better. Our host Spyros was incredibly welcoming and accommodating for our family of 5, they made sure to put our 2nd room close the the amazing Ionian Suite that I highly recommend. Breakfast was outstanding each day and was included in our rate. The beach bar staff was always smiling, The last night guitars came out and the guests did a sing song for fun and we all just had the best time. The location of this hotel is also ideal for families wanting to see the caves and to visit the best beaches such as Antissamos and Myrtos, This hotel is a gem!
