Unsere Lage ist friedlich und ruhig, aber mit den Annehmlichkeiten von Bath und der wunderschönen Landschaft der South Cotswolds direkt vor der Haustür! Geh in Bath einkaufen, schwimm im Avon oder Frome in der freien Natur oder wandere durch die umliegenden Hügel.Du kannst sogar direkt vom Ferienhaus aus zu Fuß nach Bath (7 Meilen) entlang des Kanals laufen und mit dem Zug zurück zum „Rafters“ fahren (wir stellen dir Wandervorschläge und Routen zur Verfügung). Zu Hause erwarten dich eine moderne Küche, Badezimmer und ein geräumiger Wohnbereich mit doppelter Deckenhöhe (der ehemalige Heuboden). Das Ferienhaus verfügt über schnelles WLAN (37 GB), Smart-TV mit Freeview und allen gängigen Streaming-Diensten.
Nimm den Nahverkehrszug nach Bath (9 Min.), Bristol (22 Min.) oder Bradford-on-Avon (6 Min.)! Der Dorfbahnhof ist nur wenige Minuten vom Ferienhaus entfernt.
Bleib in der Gegend und iss im „The Inn at Freshford“ oder im „Village Cafe“ zu Abend – oder hol dir Pizza zum Mitnehmen aus der Dorfpizzeria, die zweimal pro Woche geöffnet ist!

Beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable. The Rafters was the perfect countryside retreat for a friend and I to stay in while visiting the west country. Lovely old cottage that has been meticulously updated and is full of character. The village is picturesque, and we found the location ideal for a car-free holiday. The Rafters is just a 5 minute walk uphill from the Freshford train station. We also loved the village Cafe and shop, which has delicious cakes and is only a 10 minute walk away. Gorgeous country walks nearby also. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone!

Our hosts were lovely and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our only challenge was the small parking spot. We had rented a larger car. Centrally situated in a beautiful village. The food and milk set out for us was an added gesture. Thank you

Lovely spacious property in a beautiful location with easy access to Bath and other local sights by road or rail. The cottage is a short walk to the train station with hourly trains to bath during off peak times. Not having to drive into Bath was a real bonus. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and a really lovely place to relax. Having two en suite bathrooms was a real bonus. The local shop and tea room is only a short walk, maybe 15 mins, though it is hilly so plan to use a car if this could be an issue. There is also no accessible access to the return side of the station platform but GWR are worth a call if step free access is needed. I would highly recommend The Rafters and would definitely stay there again.
