MyTALE Creative Academy Hotel

The staff were extremely nice. They informed us of everything and were always happy to help. The room was quiet, beds were comfortable and the location is perfect, extremely central.

I believe breakfast shouldn’t be offered at this property. It is not equipped for it and they instead give you a ticket to present at a nearby cafe who in turn give you a ham & cheese toast, croissant and tea or coffee. On the first day, the cafe was closed and the hotel instead provided with a packed breakfast prepared by the cafe which was a sandwich, a cookie and a juice. We were not fussed as it was only 2 days at this hotel but for a longer stay, I would opt out and have breakfast somewhere else. The shower is also quite dark which came as a surprise on the first day but got used to it.

I had to book this hotel on the day of because our flight got re-routed from Milan to Rome. Thankfully, they had a room available and the hotel is located in Monti, a quaint, tight-knit neighborhood. The location is really convenient because most of the attractions in the city center are a 15-30 min walk away. There are also some great restaurants and bars near the hotel. We unfortunately decided to walk from Roma Termini to the hotel that morning, and we were dying of thirst and heat once we arrived. Giorgio greeted us warmly, promised they had A/C 😅, and showed us to our room. He even gave a little tour and how to use the lights, etc, which not many other hotels do. The A/C was strong and helped us cool off from the June heat. The design of the room was very creative (hence the name of the hotel) and the colors popped and brightened up the atmosphere. I wish we stayed here for the other 3 nights we were in Rome, but we had booked another hotel for the rest of the trip. There was no exhaust in the bathroom and the sink bottom was flat, so you had to flick water at the debris to corral it down the drain.

Location was ideal.

Furniture in the living area wasn't comfortable but the bed was grand.

How central to everything it was and the size of room.

Well ran out of hot water, boiler was broken. Didn’t give enough toilet paper.
