We had a nice stay

Apartment was fine but the entrance was a bit shabby.

The lock of the door downstair did not work, the lock was broken, impossible to get out if the door was locked, it can be dangerous!!

Day Dream? More like Day Nightmare

Central location although very noisy

Where to begin. The apartment we were originally allocated bore little resemblance to the listing — smaller, poorly equipped, and missing basic supplies. There were no kitchen utensils or frying pan despite the listing implying a fully equipped kitchen, and there was no smoke detector in the unit. When I raised the safety concern with the host, I was told that detectors in the building’s common areas satisfied local requirements — I don’t believe this is accurate, and there is a visible mark on the ceiling where a detector has clearly been removed. We were subsequently “upgraded” to a three-bedroom apartment. The new apartment had blinds missing from several windows including the bedroom, a strong smell of sewage from the bathroom, and — most concerningly — a fire escape consisting of two doors, only one of which opens, leading to a second door that goes nowhere. A non-functional fire escape is a serious safety hazard. I have raised a formal complaint with Booking.com. Future guests should be aware of these issues before booking.

Stay away from this place! Its a scam. I wish i have fully read other reviews before booking!

Nothing really. Location is good, but with 250 euro/night you can find several other good locations in Akureyri that dont smell grease and are not dirty as this.

We stayed in 5 places in Iceland and this was the worst place we stayed with least value for money. For 250 euros per night you can get much better places in Akuyeri, but here you get this: 1. The ad doesn’t state clearly that the studio room doesn’t have a proper bed, but a sofa bed. If we have known this, we would have not booked. You feel cheated in these situations. 2. The sofa bed itself is sooo uncomfortable and deformed 3. This place is not suitable for families. The neighbors around in the building were young people partying, coming & going from the bars until 5 am, playing music at 4 am, knocking on our doors at 2 am, then throwing up that you could hear etc. 4. This is actually the worst. The place smells heavily due to 3 grill bars and indian curry restaurant just below. You can see the grease on the windows (picture attached) as well. There is constant food smell, (besides the noise from street of course) and you cannot close the small window as there is no ventilation inside. 5. the place is disgustingly dirty and needs a deep cleaning
