The Osmond Motel & Apartments

Location was great for where I needed to be. Space was big enough for my needs. Loved having a washing machine and dryer when travelling with kids.

Car park is quite tight. Not a problem if you’re in a small car, but anything bigger can be a challenge. Front door handle very low and door very light. My 18m old could easily open the door on her own as there’s no ability to lock it from the inside. Huge safety issue. Washing machine had mould in the seal, likely due to design being tucked in a cupboard in the walkway to the bathroom. Having the door open creates a small obstruction to the bathroom. In saying that, we kept the cupboard door open almost the entire time so I could leave the washing machine door open after finishing a load so it could dry out.

Location was convenient for us

Noise. Smelly carpet

Room quality and amenities was tops

The road noise was a little too much for me personally (but between midnight-6am it was ok)

The location is good and convenient.

However, the room was fully of dog urine smell, and they tried to hide it with fragrance, those smell mixed together and made us feel sick. We've stayed here for a night at room 102a, and came back again after 2 days later, hoping that the 2nd room won't be too bad after we complained to the receptionist. Well...you could still smell of urine at room 101a unfortunately. They charged people for $50 pet fee, but I believed that they never steam clean the carpet for a long time. And now I've a read for other people's comments and found that they've complained about the same issue since 2025, apparently nobody try to fix the issue. I suggest them to change the carpet into wooden/tiles floor instead, at least the owner can clean it up in the future.
