Zeer ruime kamer en ongeveer 10 minuten lopen naar het metrostation. Je bent zo middenin het centrum van Shanghai, ideaal. Kamer was schoon en netjes. Vriendelijk personeel.

Op de dag van aankomst kreeg ik een chatbericht van het hotel via de app van Booking zelf. Mijn creditcard deed het niet bij hen. Het klopte inderdaad wel dat ik mijn creditcardgegevens moest updaten (oude creditcard), dus dit heb ik toen gedaan via de functie van de app. Maar ik kreeg weer een bericht dat hij niet werkte en er werd gedreigd met het annuleren van mijn kamer. Ze vroegen zelfs of ik via de chat mijn CVC code wilde sturen, zodat zij de betaling konden regelen. Uiteraard aangegeven dat ik dit niet veilig vond. Ik zou over 20 minuten bij het hotel aankomen en gezegd dat ik daar de betaling wil regelen. Ik kreeg toen pas bericht terug met een akkoord toen we al lang ingecheckt waren. Verder helemaal niks aan te merken op het verblijf zelf, maar dit vond ik wel heel gek. Leek bijna op een scam?

This is an exceptionally comfortable hotel! The staff are friendly and genuinely caring. The room was spacious and comfortable, and both the sink area and shower were perfectly clean. The housekeeping staff are truly professional. I almost hesitate to share this because it feels like a hidden gem… but on the 5th floor, there are not only gym facilities, but also washing machines and dryers! (You need to bring your own detergent or purchase it at the front desk.) At one point, I honestly felt like I could live in this hotel forever. The hotel is about a 6–7 minute walk from Sports Center Station on the subway. The nearby 7-Eleven is open until 11 PM, and the supermarket and restaurants inside Crystal Plaza stay open until 10 PM. Food delivery is inexpensive and highly recommended in China, and the front desk staff will kindly receive and hold your orders for you.

The breakfast was a little too conventional for my taste. If it were around $12, it would feel perfectly reasonable, but at $22, the selection feels somewhat limited and lacks anything particularly memorable or surprising.
