David’s place was the perfect peaceful getaway for my wife and I. His place had the best kitchen and cookware to make great meals. The fire place was delightful after a day of hiking on his property and nearby. My wife went skiing at holiday valley one day because of the close drive from David’s place. We highly recommend booking this place for your next trip. Thank you David!!

My family and I had a lovely stay here. The property was beautiful and easy to find. Close to two towns with ample dining and entertainment options. The cozy home is well equipped with all the kitchen gadgets unlike most other places we've stayed in the area. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

It was the perfect place to unplug. Although it was a rainy weekend we still got to enjoy some of the property with our pups. The city of Olean was super cute. We look forward to going back to check more of it out. Cabin description was exactly as described. Highly recommend.

A quiet location, out of the way but near a small city with shops and restaurants. The views and trails are spectacular. Everything one would need is in the cottage. If you are seeking real peace, this is the place for you!

Our stay in early November was just what we needed. Warm and inviting cottage with all the amenities you could ask for. It felt like home as soon as we walked in the door. The view of the hill and ridge from the cottage was amazing and the view during our hike only got better. The fire place, extra blankets, comfy furniture all made for a unbelievably relaxing and cozy stay. We ventured both to Olean, an easy 15 minute drive, and to Ellicottville, about 25 minutes away. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Most importantly, our communication with David was fantastic. He was a pleasure to talk with and quick to reply to all of our questions. Next time we'll bring our snow shoes!

This property was very well furnished, decorated and supplied for all of our needs. It was very well kept and very clean and comfortable. All of the grounds were well kept and made for a great country getaway. Our impression was 100 percent positive and we would very highly recommend it to others who are looking for a great getaway in complete comfort.

We feel so lucky to have found this beautiful property. We loved the accommodations- spotless, beautifully decorated with glorious views of the surrounding enchanted mountains complete with hiking trails. Just a few minutes from the center of Olean and the host David was so responsive and helpful during the booking process. We hope that we will be able to return sometime soon- so much nicer than staying in a hotel.

This property lives up to the reviews. It is truly a lovely place to spend a relaxing vacation. It was perfect for husband, teenaged son and I. The home is pristine and stocked with everything you need. Deck, grill, firepit, hiking trail, pond, games, puzzles, wifi...everything is right there to unwind and relax. We all hiked the trails for a beautiful view,,,spotted lots of deer and also saw a big family of wild turkeys! Also there is horseback riding nearby and pickleball every morning at the local Y :-) It was a great week and David is a thoughtful and communicative host!

Such attention to detail! Everything we needed was there! Firewood, kitchen and pantry items, books, magazines, clean linen, grill items, tasteful art decorations, majestic views, even had a table bench set up to view the morning sunrise, groomed hiking trails, washer, dryer, dishwasher, clean premises and a very cordial and accommodating host. We were blessed to find this gem!

This cottage more than met our expectations. It is beautifully decorated, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the yard & trails are lovely. We used the firepit and really enjoyed that, along with the board games inside.I would definitely stay here again, & would highly recommend this cottage!

Starting with a fun fact about this listing: David built this place on his own and hands down he did a spectacular job! The photos on the listing don’t make any justice to the actual cottage. My family enjoyed this place and it was relaxing to walk(I mean hike) around David’s huge estate, you even get to see wildlife.

We visited David’s place with our two young kids (3 years and 6 months) and dog and had the best weekend! The house and property is absolutely beautiful. It’s well maintained, clean, and spacious. We've stayed in many homes, but this is one of our favorites (we stay when skiing in Ellicottville). It's super clean, cheery decor, and has nice extras (like super cozy blankets and wonderful soft sheets). The host is excellent with communication. We highly recommend!!

This was perfect - up to date and clean, spacious and comfortable, and very well appointed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beautiful surroundings and hiked a few of the well marked trails on the large property. We were close enough to spend time in areas such as Olean, Portville, and Ellicottville and take in the beauty of the rolling hills. I would highly recommend this as a great place if you want to get away from it all and enjoy nature yet without roughing it. Thank you!

This place is as described! Great little place in Western New York that gives you a good starting point for all the things there are do in any season. The trails right on the property were beautiful too! The property and house are immaculate. David really has worked hard to give people a chance to see that NY state is a beautiful nature landscape, not just a city. I grew up on the area and will definitely stay here again when I visit family.

This place is very cute and in a serene environment. No neighbors to speak of and I saw no people except those driving out of the back road. There are a lot of hawks around so you have to keep an eye on your small furry family members. Overall, a quiet place to hang out and it was exactly what I needed. Thank you David. Special thanks for the extra day due to expected driving conditions back to Texas. It was a smart decision on my part.

We were looking for a short weekend getaway not far from home and this listing caught my eye, booking was seamless, we went to ellicottvile first to zip line and have dinner, how was a little wonky some service was spotty, but once we corrected our navigation and found the cottage everything was even better than anticipated,
Everything was spotless, no funky smells even though it is a pet friendly rental, you would never know it.
It is so comfortable and tastefully decorated, you feel relaxed, but pampered. the property is spectacular you could literally hike for hours, it is so quiet you really feel like you are away from the stresses of everyday life.
Usually on our last mornings at a rental we are ready to leave early, not here we locked the door at 11 and can't wait to go back

The house was spotless when we arrived, and the outside view was remarkable. There were several trails going up into the property that provided an amazing view of the surrounding landscape. Overall, the rental was well worth the money and is perfect for a relaxed stay in the country side.

I rented this property so all the family, including our four-legged family members, could just get away and spend time together. David’s property was above and beyond what I had expected. It was extremely clean, well stocked with anything that I could possibly need, and everything was so well organized. This property was one of the most exceptional I have ever stayed in. David was very accommodating and easily accessible. He responded to messages very quickly. Our dogs really enjoyed romping in the pond he recently put in. We all hiked the many trails that he groomed throughout the many acres. We didn’t even hit them all there were so many! Unfortunately we had one rainy evening that we couldn’t sit out at the fire pit, but there were many games to choose from to keep us occupied. I would definitely stay there again-no question! It would be fun to see what else he adds for his guests to enjoy! There was a dock added at the pond while we were there. Amazing property!
