The house had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The yard was perfect for our dogs. The location was also very convenient. We were able to walk to the good restaurants. As stated in the description, it is a small house and the bathroom is particularly tight, but it was just my spouse and I so we didn't find that a problem. Overall, I would recommend.

We loved the cottage. Everything is comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. The outdoor space and hot tub are a real bonus. Short walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. Quiet and safe neighborhood. We can’t wait to stay here again!

We chose to stay at Hermit Crab's Cottage because we wanted to be at the beach for our visit to Savannah. We made the right choice. We enjoyed the quietness of the community while being close enough for a short drive into town. 30 min drive. House was clean and was ready upon arrival. It's only a 15-minute walk of the Tybee Island Light Station which is a must do if on the island. Plenty of good places to eat as well. Note: Not a deal breaker and nothing the owner can do about it but be prepared that the tap water has a really bad sulfur smell. I guess it's a side effect of living next to a marsh.

Very quaint cottage less than 10 minutes to beach access and Jaycee Park with walking trail and other activities.
Hosts have everything you need ready to go and labeled, or with instructions. Bed is comfy and place is a nice size for a long weekend.
Two small issues, one with the cottage and one with Tybee Island; this is the first place we've stayed that didn't even have basic cable TV. You would think that for the price of rentals that this would be a staple, which it is at every other place. Otherwise the cottage, fenced yard, large oak with shade, and hot tub were great.
One note to travelers with pets (that should be on the hosts cottage website), NO DOGS on Tybee beaches. Huge bummer. Beach patrol can rut up the beach, but no dogs, huh?

This location was great. In walking distance to stores, restaurants, and definitely the beach. This places was like a little oasis. We loved hanging in the back yard with the dogs and it was very quiet. The inside of the house was the perfect size for us and we felt comfortable in the neighborhood. We will definitely return if house is available for the future.

My husband, daughter, 21 month old grandson, 2 small dogs and I stayed in this wonderful vintage cottage. The fenced yard was perfect for my little doggies and my little grandson. The hot tub in the screened porch was a perfect end to a day at the beach. The outdoor shower was wonderful to remove the beach grime. The backyard area and plants made me feel at home! We ate all of our meals except 2 for the entire week at the house. Even without a dishwasher, it was a great little kitchen!

We had the best 8 night getaway. The cottage was perfect for me, my sister and 5 year old son. Literally everything was perfect, quaint, clean, quiet and the hot tub made evenings so fun. The kitchen had all basic spices and cooking essentials.
We had a snag with the door lock on our first night and the owners were extremely reponsive, kind and did not make us feel like we were an inconvenince to get the issue resolved, which they did very quickly.
I look forward to coming back and would definitely stay in this cottage again.

Ps, this was our first stay on Tybee island and it was extremely pedestrian friendly, we walked and rode our bikes everywhere (beach, shops, restaurants, liquor store, lighthouse, marine science center, etc).

We had a wonderful stay at Hermit Crab Cottage. The cutest cottage in a fantastic location in the quieter part of Tybee. Mick & Dana were great with communication and Dana was super friendly when we met her. We were some happy hermies when we left ;-)

Cozy indoors but the outdoor space makes this place shine. The amenities are excellent; the grill, fire pit, hot tub, and proximity to the beach made it perfect for us. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We got lucky and found some beach equipment to borrow. They had a good variety of pillows for picky people. Owners were responsive and kind. We hope to return. 10/10.

We have stayed at this cottage two years in a row, and have relished our time there so much! Great location, short walk to the beach and several restaurants, and a half hour drive from all the charms of Savannah. The hosts are terrific. Very nice, and responsive to our questions. The outdoor space is great, with a fenced yard for the pup, fire pit and pleasant South-facing deck. Detached screened porch with hot tub and comfy seating. Can’t recommend highly enough!

This was our 5th trip to Tybee and this cottage was our favorite! The outdoor space is great, the neighborhood is quiet. Everything was top of the line. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed..

Hermit Crab's Cottage is a delightful beach cottage on a quiet, well-situated street. The owners have gone out of their way to create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. They have made sure that the cottage is lovingly prepared to welcome guests and allow for the maximum island experience. My small dog and I travel together, and she loved the safe, beautiful backyard. I highly recommend Hermit Crab's Cottage for travelers who want to enjoy life on wonderful Tybee Island.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. We went into Savannah, Fort Pulaski, Hilton Head. We rented a golf cart and tooled around the island, great fun. It is only 4 block walk to the beach but I was recovering from a broken leg. We ate several places but we ate twice at AJ’s, North Bar and Hucapoos. The house was great, we loved it, our puppies loved the fenced in yard. We would highly recommend this house.

We love staying in the North Beach neighborhood on Tybee and so happy to have found this gem. It's a short walk to the beach and close to the bike path. The hosts were super thoughtful with the space and added little touches throughout (like fresh water for coffee, sunscreen, bug spray, clear directions for working TV and music, etc.). The outside area is gorgeous, too. Our favorite amenity was the hot tub; it was nice to unwind after a day of biking and walking around the island. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I spent a week at this location for our honeymoon. The cottage is so sweet and had everything we needed. Just a short walk to the beach, we walked to watch the sunrise most mornings. I would absolutely recommend to stay here!

This is the best VRBO that I’ve ever stayed in! The hermit crab cottage is very clean and well supplied for a stay on Tybee. The rooms are just right for a couples get away. We will definitely stay here again!

This was our first time visiting Tybee Island. The cottage was perfect for my husband and I. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and Mick made great suggestions for restaurants. We hope to come back and visit again soon and will be staying at this cottage!

My wife and I had a great stay at this property. We brought our two Boston’s with us and the fenced in yard was a perfect size for them to run around and explore. Nice quick walk to the beach, quiet street, very responsive host- highly recommend!

This charming home was perfect for our Tybee Island stay. Traveling from PA to GA, we were looking for a place that could accommodate for our 3 years old and two dogs. This was the perfect size for us. 5 minute walk to the beach, outdoor shower, and hot tub were ideal for our stay. We would definitely stay again!!

Really comfortable place to stay in a great, quiet location in Tybee. Close proximity to a few great restaurants and stores to grab anything you may need for the beach. Everything is easily accessible on the property and check in/check out was a breeze. Highly, highly recommended place to stay!

My mom, sister and I stayed in this adorable cottage for a girls getaway ! This property is awesome!! The owners are so responsive and the whole process was painless! The cottage has such charm. The kitchen is equipped with all that you need, the living area is quaint and comfortable! The beds are so comfortable, which is usually not the case in most rentals! I love the owners sense of style! All of the outdoor living spaces are perfect and inviting! You will not be disappointed if you choose to vacation here! We will definitely be back!!

Fabulous time at Hermit's Crab Cottage
I am not sure I know enough great words to explain how wonderful our stay was at a Hermit's Crab cottage. From the moment we drove up the driveway and saw the charming, vibrant exterior to driving back down the driveway on our way home my husband and I were at peace. The cottage seemed to "make" you relax and forget the outside world. Inside had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We loved that everything was labeled and the directions for the electronics were easy to understand. The short walk to the beach was fabulous as it allowed you to go to the beach multiple times per day. The screened room outside was great for reading during the rain storm while my husband enjoyed the hot tub. Then at night when the lights outside "automatically" turned on it is like magic with the music of the cicadas in the background. I highly recommend this cottage and we can't wait to return 😁

Big things come in small packages!
All I can say is WOW. Me, my partner, my adult son, and our two dogs had a truly delightful stay at Hermits Crab Cottage for a week. The property was immaculately clean inside and out. It is a small cottage, but the size was perfect for us. The kitchen has everything you need and the beds and furniture were comfortable. I think we used just about everything on the property from the hot tub on the covered porch to the outdoor grill to the washer and dryer and the outdoor shower and everything worked perfectly. We spent most of our time when not out and about on the shady covered porch which has a ceiling fan for those muggy days. Location was perfect, on the north side of the island with a short walk or golf cart ride to beach access point. This is a lovely, well-cared for cottage, and the owners were very responsive with communications throughout the process. We will be back!
