Amazing fresh newly opened quieter resort with great facilities. Multiple pools and onsite food and drink. Staff friendly and helpful. Ali and Nabhila on Reception very helpful, friendly with great English. Resort well connected to travel options into downtown Hurghada etc. Everything you need.
Food a little expensive but good quality. Would like to see more alcohol options.

Enjoyable and memorable
The resort is an oasis in the desert with a modern landscape and tropical plants that are rare in Egypt. At check-in, we were warmly welcomed by Ali, the reception manager. Housekeeping people are very creative, and the towel job is amazing. The ambience, service and food at the restaurant are above and beyond. Shrimp salad and grilled salmon are an absolute masterpiece!
The studio had a comfy bed and pillows, a full kitchen and a washing machine, all brand new. Smart TV with Netflix, and high-speed Internet inside the room. To be fair, we never had these services even in the fanciest 5-star hotels in Egypt.
We were sad to leave the Imperial resort, and we will come back very soon.

very affordable apart-hotel near el gouna, great facilities, and the heated pool is simply the best! the water is SOOOOOO warm - it feels like heaven :)
i loved the food at botanico restaurant, friendly service and relaxing atmosphere…
receptionists Nabila and Ali were always there for me to help to reserve trips. private car at the resort is the cheapest that I had anywhere else. you will be at el gouna gate or the nearby beach in like 3 minutes… good vibes, please keep it up, guys!

First, it is important to understand what this “resort” actually is. The Imperial is a 100+unit condominium project, the owner/developer retained a number of units as rental properties, the rest are owned by individuals. When you respond to this listing, you are renting from the developer. Several of the “reviews” here on booking.com were posted by individual owners (or their friends) with a vested interest in boosting the review score. These types of posts are highly unethical.
Now, the good: Of the five properties that we rented in Egypt the wifi at the Imperial was the best by far, the next best wasn’t close. The staff was hit and miss. Nabila, Ali, and Mahmoud stood out among an otherwise average to below average staff. Staffing issues always lead right to the top. When staff is failing, management is failing. It was obvious from the moment we walked in that upper management has little or no experience in the hospitality sector. Our opinion was reinforced everyday in multiple ways. To managements credit they did successfully arrange transportation to the airport for our 0530 flight. Also, management comped my wife and I to a boat trip, lunch, and transportation to and from Hurghada in an attempt to make up for the shortcomings detailed below. The boat trip was a nice gesture on their part and was greatly appreciated.
The bad: The Imperial is still under construction. This fact is hidden from potential guests and not mentioned in any of the glowing “reviews”. My estimate is that over half of the units, and the entire suite of rooftop amenities remain unfinished. If your idea of relaxation is hearing constant pounding, power tools, and construction workers arguing among themselves, then this is the resort for you. Then there is the dog problem. Evidently, during construction the workers “adopted” a number of feral dogs. The kitchen staff and construction workers make sure the dogs have plenty of food and water. There seemed to be a core group of 5-6, with as many as 4-5 more strays hanging around the Imperial on any given day (or night). During the first week of our stay, I was awakened every night by the dogs incessant barking. Upon complaining, the first reaction I got was one of surprise, as if it hadn’t occurred to management or staff that dogs barking/ dog fights at all hours would be a problem. I was then told that the dogs would be trapped and removed by the end of the week. That effort ended in futility. At that point I demanded another room away from the dogs. We were moved to a room adjacent to the bar/restaurant, which presented another set of problems that I won’t detail here. The Imperial also boasts of “24 hour reception and guest services”. This is simply not true. The staff locks the doors at 2300, after that there is a gate manned by a guard that speaks only Arabic. Good luck if there is any kind of emergency. Also, note that there is nothing nearby, the Imperial is set among a sea of finished and unfinished condo projects. Litter and debris is everywhere. Nothing is within walking distance, a car is required for almost everything but the absolute basics. The bottom line is we did not receive what was promised and we overpaid for what we did get.

Great location! Only 7 minutes drive to the gates of El Gouna Marina, where there is lots to do. Moods beach was a lovely spot to spend the day, whilst looking at the yachts across the marina. El Gouna downtown was also a great place to have a meal and drink. The opposite direction has ARENA BEACH CLUB, which is 5 minutes drive away. Another great place to spend the day! We used the hotel taxi and UBER which were both cheap.
The hotel is lovely and peaceful and a great place to relax.
