Motel One Manchester-Piccadilly

Heart of Manchester location and great rooms.

1st night we had issues with excessive noise and music all night from the bedroom next door. No telephone in the bedroom so could not call down to reception. They were asked to leave on 2 occasions by staff and eventually did after overstaying checkout time. Mainly very nice guests there but there is a young party goers element (1 night stays) that are ruining other people’s stays.

Well located, modern, polite and helpful staff.

Was happy with all aspects.

Room was quite small

The bed is comfortable, nice size room and good functional size bathroom. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the breakfast whilst only continental is OK. The location great, with it being next to the station and only a 5 minute walk to Canal Street.

Whilst the cleaners could not always get into my room, as I was late getting up, on the occasions when they did, they did not do that thorough a job, the carpet was not hoovered, the tea/coffee cupboard was not cleaned or restocked and on two occasion I had to ask reception for extra toilet paper. Also on my floor we had the noisiest pair of cleaners I have every witnessed. Constantly chatting at high volume whilst cleaning the other rooms, even though many of the doors on my floor had DnD notices on them!
