The room we reserved was labeled "Garden Room." When we arrived, we were given a room in a 3-story building adjacent to the Tower you see in photos. Our walk to our room the hallways were dirty, there was a microwave oven just sitting on a table in the hallway, with paint peeling everywhere, musty floors, etc. Walking to the room it felt like we were on the way to the dungeon. The elevators were scratched up, dirty. We were placed on the ground floor next to the laundry room. The onsen area was not clean and was located on the bottom floor. I requested a new room, and we were moved to the tower. The 3-story building isn't shown in the photos and is located behind the tower, which is misleading. They did photoshop photos to make it seem like the rooms were bright and airy. The Tower rooms were newer but equal to a 2-star stay. Everything was outdated, and the air did not work properly. The Bathroom was made entirely of plastic that had been dropped into the unit. The hotel grounds had litter and plastic shopping bags filled with trash left by guests. We were shocked since this goes against Japan's conscious culture. The food in the buffet was horrible- Chinese food that looked and smelled like it had been sitting there for days and smelled very fishy. Thank goodness for the Japan convenience store. This is a stark contrast with what we had experienced in other areas of Japan. It is very disappointing, and I don't recommend that anyone stay here.

Excellent stay! The onsen was perfect to pass time pre-flight. Convenient airport shuttle.

The part of the building we stayed may be slightly old so that there are some signs of that. We did not mind that at all as the price was accordingly good value for money. Only, in comparison to several hotels we stayed recently the quality of breakfast was not as good as others. Otherwise it is a good choice considering the price.

Onsen hot springs is main reason I made reservations. But Monday closed and Monday and Tuesday no massage. So disappointed

We have stayed before and will likely stay again . This time our room was a bit tired. Breakfast was pretty good and the onsen is teriffic with 700 yen charge - why not just fold it into the room rate? Efficient shuttle to/from airport but less frequent than I remember .

I was so happy with staying at Art Hotel and will recommend it to my friends and relatives.

Suite room was beautiful. So spacious and comfortable. Beds were plush. Breakfast buffet had a great selection. It’s not a bad way to spend a night before a long haul flight out of NRT.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant/breakfast buffet was great. The room was smelly, and did not include many amenities. The bathroom was moldy.
