Popcorn on floor of room, big stains on carpets on all 3 of our rooms, not a good feeling walking in to that. Never heard a vacuum on our floor entire stay. Glasses didn’t look clean enough to drink from-that’s for sure. Disappointing

Disappointed doesn’t begin to describe this waste of money. Planned a special occasion for a 30th birthday. Arrived only to check in and go to the room and be surprised that the king bed room was now 2 double beds! Wasn’t even given a heads up. I was blatantly told that the hotel PURPOSELY over books the hotel. There is an up charge on any and everything. I’ll never stay here again or recommend this to someone if I want them to actually enjoy themselves.

- No water for over 12 hours, -Water bottle was not provided (Ran out) - Washrooms and showers not working. - Rude staff not helping in this situation. - Even told if we use water bottles in the room they would charge 9 dollar for wach.

It was nice in overall. Breakfat was excellent.

The breakfast was amazing, Staff was friendly. I felt safe. Rooms clean and roomy.

The customer service was the worst i experienced from any hotel. The outside bar servers were so rude all the staff at every bar were very rude. Asked for wash clothes never got them after 4hrs passed i went to the desk for some

We liked our stay there The thing we did NOT like is the “leisure taxes” that we were charged as we were checking out ( although I paid for my stay online , before arriving there) Since we stayed there for 6 days , this tax added up to 600$ They should mention this on the website while you’re booking the stay

I was there for only a night and I checked in 7pm , I asked for an extension for an hour I got charged $50 but I see $200 and when I asked the bell man to help me with my luggage to the Uber he just left my bags on the floor (which I never do to my Louis Vuitton set) I really disappointed in my stay , I wouldn’t have stayed if it weren’t for my cousin wedding at the grand ball room. The room was not the cleanest and the balcony doors were not nice to see smug and not cleaned that I couldn’t enjoy the sunrise. The carpet in the hallways and room are awful. The best part was the only 1 hour on the beach before I checked out.

Front desk gave me a hard time about reservation. I had 7 ppl with me. One name changed. They made me jump through hoopes to change that one person's name So I had to call expedia while cheking others in. They made name change then still couldnt check this person in. Then had to call expedia back. Then reception lady told me that room fee for that one person doubled. Then I called Expedia back then they told me that since only name changed not the date its the same price. When I told reception this she told me to talk to Expedia. Talked to Expedia (from my room this time on hotel phone) they said don't worry they will call hotel fix it and call me back. Then they called me back and said that noone is picking up the phone at reception. Then I called reception told them to pick up and asked Expedia to call reception while I was on hold and they did still no answer even though reception said they are expecting call and will pick up. At this point i had enough and told Expedia to keep trying and call me back when it's done. Finally they called and said all is good. Hope you see where I am going with this. Not exactly the way I expected to check in and start our stay. Now I am thinking that even the 3 stars I gave was too generous.....

Property and customer service has went down compared to when I first stayed a few years ago. My stay was not terrible but just not sure if I’ll select as my go to option for R&R.

I stayed at the the Diplomat Beach Resort for the weekend for my 35th Bday with my kids and my mom . We had a wonderful time , The property was immaculate ,all the hotel/resort staff was friendly and helpful I felt safe with my kids there . Before booking I read the reviews but that didnt stop me from proceeding with my choice to stay .I called prior to traveling and asked question so that they wouldn’t be any surprises . I knew I was going to spend so I made sure to be financial ready and I would definitely stay there again . They are many things to do as activities for the days I didnt get to get invoked but We had a was a wonderful time.

Beautiful location on the beach and the property was nice overall. Downside is that they nickel and dime you for everything and prices for food and drinks are obnoxious. Water was $9 and was surprised with a $50 bill for 2 basic drinks at the bar. I would say bring your own food and drinks but they do their best to stop that as well.
