What a wonderful place! The staff is amazing and super friendly, the room was clean & comfortable, the breakfast was perfect! I love the decor in the office/ breakfast nook! The grounds are nice. We were there in March, but it must be beautiful in summer when everything is in bloom! I highly recommend this place. Some rooms have balconies, there are cottages, one even has a bay window! Super cute! We will be back for sure!

This place is fantastic. Very clean, cozy, and comfortable. We asked a staff member for help with our room key malfunctioning, and they stopped what they were doing and fixed the problem immediately. The bathroom is great, the bed is comfortable, it’s overall a great place to stay after a long drive.

For the price we paid, I would not have expected the breakfast spread. They made a nice space in the office to sit and enjoy the breakfast and meet other guests. I highly recommend this spot.

I had to stay here because of the 9.2 rating. Had to see what it was about. The rooms are small, just a bed, dresser and small table but what more do you need? The TV is huge and the unit was SPOTLESS!!! The breakfast was good (the omelets were great! My only complaint is that the towels were dingy , rough and had holes in them.

Safe, clean, overall exceeds expectations. Nothing fancy while very well maintained property, great value.

This was by far the best place I have stayed. Our room was spotless. I repeat...spotless! All the staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was excellent.

Clean rooms , good staff!

The beds were comfortable, which we appreciated. The TV remote stopped working our last night there, so we were stuck with Fox News all night! Please make sure to replace it. People were lovely; the breakfast was basic, and I wish they had had some lower calories yogurt for us low carb people. The coffee was wonderful too!

Super nice staff

The bed was comfortable and I had a good night sleep.

We booked a stay at Kittery Inn for one night thinking we would just need a place to rest our heads for the evening, but certainly didn’t expect the moon and stars. Unfortunately, however, our room left us feeling worse for wear than when we’d arrived. Immediately upon entrance, there was a noticeable and pungent stench of mildew and mold. The air conditioner offered a bit of relief in filtering the air, but it was evident that there was a mold buildup there as well. Myself and my partner both have allergies, so this left us with sore chests, stuffy noses, and genuine concerns about our health. We wound up spending the night because we’d already sank a pretty penny into the room, but didn’t even feel comfortable enough to use the shower, let alone any of the other amenities. The fridge was rusted and painted over, there was dust and dirt in every corner, and we found bugs lurking around the restroom. Disappointing that a property which charges a premium was unable to meet even the most basic sanitation concerns. The staff was kind and breakfast looked nice, but those can certainly be found elsewhere. If you have allergies, please stay away for your own health. Overall, the property felt dated, disheveled, and not worth risking your well-being. While the bones of a charming motel are still in place, it’s evident the current owners have not maintained the standard to which guests should be accustomed.

Great place to stay for the price. Some things felt a bit dated but the cleanliness and easy access to the outlet stores was fantastic.

Could be cleaner

Stay was ok, the bed was clean but comfort lacked. The door of the room had been previously kicked in, with the molding around the door pushed out. The room while clean smelled strongly of floral carpet cleaner. Was clean and inexpensive shower head was really lovely.

We liked everything about Kittery Inn and Suites. It was a perfect location that made it convenient to get to sites throughout New England. The breakfast was great every day and there was variety in what was served. The staff was courteous and always pleasant. We look forward to coming back in the future!

When I discovered that flights were relatively inexpensive from my little Florida town direct to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, I knew I needed a dose of Autumn foliage and began looking for lodging. Downtown Portsmouth was expensive, but just across the river maybe 2 miles away, Kittery Inn and Suites was the better deal. It was so quiet and so cute. The staff I interacted with were all wonderful from the front desk to the young man tending the outdoor areas. I enjoyed the continental breakfast and being a coffee lover, appreciated that they have a pot brewing all day. I thought my trip would revolve mostly around New Hampshire, but with adorable Ogunquit, Maine and metropolitan Portland, Maine both within 45 minutes' drive, I spent most of my time in the northern state (I did visit the New Hampshire White Mountains just 2 hours away, which were magnificent). Several of the local Kittery restaurants had great reviews, but I enjoyed Bob's Clam Hut so much that I had it twice (they have been featured on The Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" with Guy Fieri). I would absolutely stay at Kittery Inn and Suites again, and am already considering them for another visit next year.

We were very happy staying there for the last three days. It’s in a quiet area and close to everything I wanted to see. You can tell they take the effort to keep things running well. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I will happily stay there again next time I’m in the Portsmouth area.

Not quite what I expected and wouldn’t stay more than one night. The bed was squeaky but comfy enough so that was a plus. Musty motel vibe.

The Kittery Inn is a wonderful noir experience -- a 50s throwback to rustic Maine cabin-style accommodations. Fabulous hospitality, comfortable bed and spotless! The sink water pressure was low -- but I took it in stride as part of the ambience.
