The Staff was Amazing, Always willing to help with what ever we needed, The rooms were kept immaculately clean, And Demetri the Bar-tender was a pleasure to speak with. We will Definitely be back..

The room and entire building was very clean, the staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent! And the views off of the patio were beautiful. We enjoyed the shared pool and jacuzzi in the room. I loved the look and I thought the size of the room was generous. It felt like Oia without being in Oia. The services available were nice That being said, I do have a few comments. The maintenance of the property could be better. The rooms jacuzzi had a fizzing noise coming out of one of the dials that kind of overpowered the calm you look for while in the tub. The maintenance for the jacuzzi kind of showed up randomly and startled me a couple of times The right side door to the balcony was kind of broken, it would fall open when you unlocked the door Some places on the property, especially the balcony, could probably use a new coat of paint Of course the property does not pretend to be in the city, but it should be noted to anyone that it is in the middle of the island. Walking to a bus stop to Oia is a 30 minute steep uphill hike. Taking a taxi or uber anywhere is a minimum of 40 euros one way. I suggest you rent a car :) No mini bar and limited food options on site after 2 pm I was shocked to see an iPod player and stereo … and no smart tv to relax at with at night just an older model. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but some updates to the property could be made and would make this truly 5 star

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Amber Light Villas. The location was convenient- just a short drive to downtown Fira - and I’d definitely recommend renting a car, as taxis can get expensive. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and gave us great recommendations based on what we wanted to do. One downside was the service at the bar/restaurant, which was quite slow. We actually ended up leaving and getting food elsewhere one time. This was disappointing since we were looking forward to the convenience of on-site dining and drinks. That said, the included breakfast buffet each morning was excellent and something we really appreciated. We stayed in one of the upgraded rooms with a private outdoor pool and indoor jacuzzi, which sounded amazing in theory. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool was freezing - even on warm days - and the jacuzzi was more like a "cool tub" rather than a hot one. Since we paid extra for these features, it was disappointing not to be able to fully enjoy them. The main pool at the hotel was also very cold, making it hard to use beyond just dipping your feet in. The wifi was also spotty in some areas, even just a few steps outside our room. Overall, we truly had a great stay and loved many aspects of the property, but a few details kept it from feeling like a full 5-star experience.

In the location of the hotel it says “Imerovigli” but once you put it into a GPS, it’s actually another tow. It’s a very remote hotel so if you’re looking for that, you’ll enjoy it. There is no bus that comes within walking distance (about an hour walk on the road). To get a taxi from this Hotel to Fira is about 25 euro and to Oia about 30 euro each way. We stayed in the two-bedroom villa and had lots of ants and fire bugs. One day the ants were very bad but someone came to tend to them immediately. The jacuzzi was dirty and the lights in it were not working so not useful at night. With everything being so remote, it would have been nice to get free bottled water but they also charge for that. The villa was beautiful and big but not sure I’d give this a 4-star unfortunately.
