This is our second time staying there and we are very happy with our stay.

The place was very underwhelming and plain dirty. We stayed for 3 days and twice asked for the room to be cleaned but they did not have the staff. No one even came to take out trash- forget about cleaning the bathroom . General manager had to do it personally. Avoid this place if you staying in Durango!

Great hotel but they need to fix their fire alarm that went off inexplicably at 5:30 a.m.

Check in was extremely slow. The bed was hard. The shower sprayed so bad that it flooded the bathroom. The fire alarm went off at 530a. Desk agent said he has been happening. Won’t stay here again.

Great experience. Great staff!

check inn took a long time. the person said she was the general manager. She complained that she had not eaten all day. took a long time on the computer.

Wonderful manager when we checked in. The best ever.

Check in was simple, room was clean, beds are firm, pillows were soft. Breakfast had a good variety and was well stocked. My son enjoyed the 24 hr work out room. Easy to get into town.

Staff at check-in was friendly, hotel is clean, room was comfortable and felt spacious with high ceilings, and the pool was a hit with the kids.

Found trash and debris on the floor of our room. Had it been earlier and not 11pm, I would have cared more. My family and I were tired and just wanted to sleep. But a wrapper on the floor is unacceptable. Doesn’t matter too much, but the bed sheet was on inside out which was just odd.
Customer service was great and gentleman who checked us in was lovely.

Last year I stayed at a hotel next door to this one, and decided to give it a try since it was slightly less expensive. The stay was fine and the hotel was pretty average. The room was mostly clean and I only noticed some spots in the bathroom that looked like they may have needed some cleaning attention. I stayed here on a solo snowboard trip to Purgatory and was on the 2nd floor during the week. The hotel seemed to be quiet. I didn’t really hear much outside my door. I was able to park steps from the front door each time I pulled in which was nice as I was bringing my gear in and out each day. The breakfast seemed to be out and on time each morning. The fresh waffle was excellent from their waffle maker. The drive is a little longer from this end of town up to the ski area, but it’s not bad, maybe 30-40 minutes depending on the time of day. Also, it’s located within about 5 minutes of a local Walmart and a few fast food places and gas so that’s very convenient. Overall I would say it’s a fine place to stay and again, pretty average, good for the price. If I had the choice in the future, I might spend a little extra and stay at the hotel next door that is more of a suite and gives you a bit more room to spread out and has more of a desk and couch space in the room for working, relaxing and getting ready in the morning on a ski trip.

Reserved and paid extra for a Deluxe Suite with jetted tub and stayed on a standard room with walk-in shower right by the kitchen.

Staff were great. Room was dirty, paint peeling on bathroom door, urine on toilet, tv didn’t work, microwave didn’t work, hole in sofa with stuffing showing.

Great pit stop, great breakfast, thanks again!

While the customer service was exceptional, I was disappointed to find that both hand washcloths were heavily soiled with a brown residue, and one even had small hairs clinging to the fabric. Furthermore, the shower had not been properly cleaned, as evidenced by the presence of small shaved hairs scattered across the tub walls.

Clean and affordable. No complaints there. I chose this property because of the advertised indoor hot tub and pool. I arrived on a Thursday evening to a lobby sign stating tub and pool closed for cleaning. I understand maintenance has to happen sometime and I just got unlucky. Not so. Staff informed me that they perform maintenance every week and they are always closed end of week to be ready for the weekend. Bottom line… don’t book this property mid week if you want a hot tub! Other than that, an above average breakfast, clean, comfortable, and modern at a very fair price.

We made reservations in Sept. For 2 king rooms in Feb. We checked in, went to our roomsand they had not been cleaned. We went back to the desk and was told they only had double queen rooms. We made reservations very early so we could get the rooms we wanted. Very disappointed in LaQuinta. We've stayed here multiple times and this was the only time we' ve had problems. Do better Durango.

The pool had so much chlorine in it that my eyes burned immediately upon coming into the pool room. Pool and hot tub were unusable. I asked for my room to be cleaned but they didn't clean our room the 4 nights we were there. The hotel is ran on a skeleton crew, make you're own conclusions.

The staff was wonderful. So nice and helpful. If we needed anything, all we had to do was ask and they were on it.

They kept charging my card even though I payed in full

This review is not about the hotel and staff as it is about the guests: Children running around like wild animals. Fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night (with a subsequent visit from the fire dept.). Vandalism in the elevators. On elevator broken during check out. Here’s an idea: Instead of charging us $25 for our small very well behaved dog, how about charging parents with two completely unsupervised children in tow? This is not a place we will return to. And I don’t hate kids—but I was raised to be polite and respectful and not like a character from “Lord of the Flies”.

Inn facility was excellent and room was very nice. A couple of very minor comments...
1. Was located on the edge of town so more distant from downtown than desired but I was the one that chose the hotel so no fault of their's..
2. Breakfast closed at 9AM and they mean it. Food is gone at 9:01am.

Let’s Just Start this Review with One Word “Disgusting”. The Manager with what Appeared to be Family members hired as Workers running the show for Breakfast was a Show. I’m talking Young Teenagers Preparing Breakfast that have No Experience what so ever with Cleaning up tables after people ate, cleaning the food area after people are serving themselves. Included are photos of the mess. Cleanliness was Of NO Concern when it came to Rooms. We found breakfast sausage in the sheets along with Dog/Human Hair. I’m Aware that this hotel allows pets but if accepting pets is allowed this Hotel Needs to Take this Cleanliness to another Level. I just Hope Management sees this Review to help her from having to Jump Hotel to Hotel because she can’t run one with Family Members. You can’t run a hotel like this because it’s Absolutely Disgusting. The Tv Show “Undercover Boss” needs to Seriously come here NO JOKING Around!!!!!

Nice size 2 bed room, good film channels, clean and quiet, good breakfast (although didn't like the fake eggs), about 5-10 mins drive to historical downtown, riverbank trail right in front, cinema next door.

We got to the hotel, after driving across the state and they only had 1 of our room reversions. They was supposed to be 2 reserved. I had called the night before to confirm that we had 2 room's reserved ,I spoke to crystal she confirmed there was 2 rooms. . One of our party is paraplegic and travel is very hard for him in the first place and all we wanted was to get him to the room to relax. We spent the next 3 hours trying to find rooms to accommodate the 8 of us in our party, plus a wheel chair. We ended up making do with rooms without enough beds and extremely hard for a paraplegic to get in the bed. Without a ADA bathroom. The lady at La Quinta desk was not accommodating. Refused to get a manager and did nothing for us. Stated they were booked and she only had the one room for us. We had to go to a different hotel for the night. We will not back to this hotel.

The pool was dirty, the deadbolt in our room did not work, the comforter was thin, initially the staff gave us keys to an occupied room. The cleaning staff left our room door open, we discovered this when we returned after being away all day. We’ve had great experiences with La Quinta, however this was not a good experience.

Upon arrival bathroom floor was dirty, sticky like they had dumped the concentrated soap on the floor n it dried up with hair n tissue stuck to the floor!
Toilet unstable as it would wobble when u would sit in it! When u would flush the toilet it would leak water out the bottom of base! Wax ring was no good!
Dirty sock was found inside the covers that belonged to someone prior to our arrival!
Hair was matted in between the flat sheet n fitted sheet!
TV would go on n off from black to picture every 8 seconds once the TV would get hot!
There was no towels or tissue paper in my room upon arrival
Refrigerator never worked
Was a horrible experience General Manager on site said “sorry there is nothing we can do, we don’t have any housekeepers as it’s the holidays”!
My husband washed the bathroom floor on his hands & knees to remove the stickiness and hair off the tile planks! We didn’t watch Tv as I was afraid I was going to activate a seizure!
We watched the ball drop from New Year’s Eve from the lobby down stairs! Was not a fun exciting time at all!

All floors were dirty including hall ways, they didn’t have any toilet paper or soap or paper towels in bathroom by pool. Front desk was very rood to my wife when she went a said something claimed it was cause there busy this past week. Floors looked like they haven’t been vacuumed in weeks. Stayed in cheaper hotels that were way cleaner. Bed sheets needed to be replaced as soon as entering. Pool was closed. Ash trays out side dumbed all over the ground. Pizza boxes on the table by elevator. Figured this would be a nice experience for the fam to stay at a nice hotel. I will never stay at this la Quinta ever again. We weren’t the only ones who needed new sheets, talked to one family who found food in there bed. For paying 150 a night this place should have been on point.

Maid left garbage in the room. Front desk good. She came and fixed our tv. Battery died in remote. Said someone would bring us batteries but no one did. So no tv.

Third floor ice machine broken. Burnt out lights in bathroom.

Reasonable rates and always clean and quiet. Comfortable beds. And the pool and hot tub are awesome. I greatly appreciate the continental breakfast and that the movie theater and mall are both nearby. This is my families favorite place to stay in Durango :)

There was hair from previous customer still on bathroom countertop, and toilet seat was only fastened at one place.
I figured that the room would be refreshed between nights it wasn't. Will choose a different place next time

Cleanliness was seriously lacking. We had to change rooms after check in due to a toilet with feces splattered all over and filthy counters. Next room had stained sheets. Will not return in the future.

Nice hotel staff was great breakfast was great however the pool had way too much chlorine which caused my granddaughter to get sick, we had to call poison control and had to leave a day early.

Pulled back the sheets to a pretty nasty stain, or something on the bed. Got moved to another room (we were upgraded) and the room appeared to be used as well. One of the 2 beds also has a massive Mattress stain and there was trash littering the floor (water bottle thrown on the ground and tissues). It was late and we just needed to sleep. Woke up and showered, there were holes in the wash cloths and the towels were paper thin, they needed to be replaced at least a year ago. Won't be staying here next time we visit. Front desk girl was great but over a pretty gross experience.
