The room was dirty and not cleaned well. Hair on the floor. Days worth of dust. The floor was not mopped well or at all. The AC in the main room did not work. For the best suite in Blackhawk, this was terrrible.

We had a get stay. Only issue the roof top pool was closed one of the two day we were there.

Fantastic rooms. Easy check in with kiosk. Fun casino with lots of slot options. Was a lot of people in the casinos at night. Very secure with their guest only elevators. Didn’t like how far parking was from hotel portion. Good food at Twenty four 7. Didn’t have the buffet. No birthday gift promotion.

Once we got the elevators figured out it was a good stay.

Nice pool and deck! Rooms were nice could be better cleaned. Will return!

Service was abrupt and condescending, instead of polite.

We called ahead as it was for a birthday party and upgraded the room. The room had the wrong champagne, they said they’d have rose pedals laid out, but none of that happened. Once in the room, it was nice, they had a complimentary room for upgraded guests for drinks and appetizers. What they didn’t say until you left was drinks weren’t free…so surprise number 3 of the trip. Everyone passed the buck, check in folks, management as to who was responsible. Facts are we had 7 rooms that night to celebrate and the staff all said it was someone else’s job for anything we asked.

We love to go to the casinos when we go to Colorado each year. Last year we discovered The Monarch after staying at another casino resort years past. After last year we loved it and we will now do our annual trip to Colorado with a monarch stay.

Very nice hotel However, there are issues with the housekeeping department. The 1st day I had to call 3x for them to clean my room. The next day I paid for a late ck out (which was a nightmare to get). 30 extra minutes! They keep banging on my doors dieting those extra minutes I had. Deferred the whole purpose of staying longer to enjoy the room. Other issues, the manager lady at the form desk (her initial is K) to be polite I won’t put her whole name. Extremely rude, not nice at all. Even though we paid until noon (ck out time), the keys will not work by around 1130-1140am. We had to go stay in line in order for them to reprogram them. The front desk manager did not seem to care that I wasted an additional 25-30 min dealing with these. We spoke with the GM (S). She was very nice and helpful/ understanding.

Why in the world was the outdoor hot tub closed in a mountain town??? It’s the reason we always stay at this hotel. Ruined our getaway!

Checkin was slow. Had to wait 45-60 minutes for our room. There is a panel near the front door that lights up. It would be nice to be able to turn it off or be able to cover it. My wife is light sensitive, so that was an issue when she was trying to go to sleep. Other than those two things the room was good.

Have stayed here 10÷ times and has always been quiet and relaxing. Again, requested a room away from the elevator at the end of the hall. This trip we were woken up all night by loud talking, screaming and banging n the halls by drunk obnoxious guests. Seems the type of clientele here has changed for the worse. Its really a shame.

The last time I stayed at the hotel I had to go two floors down to get ice. This time the plumbing was backed up in the shower and the bathroom sinks. I couldn’t use the shower before I left because the water from last night’s shower was still in the shower

Beautiful casino hotel with great amenities. However, check in process and navigating the elevator system is not the most pleasant experience. Pay attention to experienced guests, because the staff are not great at showing what to do.

Everything was great. The restaurants and buffet delicious. The hotel was clean and friendly.

We tried the buffet during our stay and for a little more than $65 per person, most of the food that was supposed to be warm or hot was cool, while the desserts that were supposed to be cold were warm. Also getting drinks took way longer than one would have expected based on the price of the buffet. Additionally, while the pools were nice, the hours for a family to enjoy them were extremely limited, as there is adult only hours from 7-10 am, as well as 6-10pm. Our room was great, and the bed was very comfortable, however one of our TV’s remotes didn’t work great, but we were still able to watch TV so that wasn’t that big of a deal.

It was great ( robes, hot tub, buffet) other than the electrical situation that kept shutting off power in our room. The keurig wouldn’t work but a new one was replaced promptly.

Great stay. Very clean updated and plenty of gambling to do. Great restaurants service was good. Free parking is a plus. Fun stay, great place to stay. Only thing is its at the end of the strip so a bit of a walk to other place.

Great hotel and casino town tucked in the mountains! I highly recommend getting a suit, it has a large bathtub in the main room next to the window with a canyon view. You also get access to the lounge that serves food and drink throughout the day. Book reservations for fine dining well in advance, it sells out and the buffet line had full tables with 150 people on standby. The only downsides, if you are accustomed to staying a luxury hotel, they didn't have any room service meals we could find, and you couldn't call ahead to have your car pulled around…. The little things.

Our room wasn’t ready at 4p, had to wait until one was clean. By the time we got to the buffet line for dinner we had to wait over two hours long, only to make things worse by the time we got to the front they made a line for hotel guests only. Just a frustrating experience when you want to relax.

I was there for a single night due to a wedding. The hotel was clean. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of food options and staff was friendly

This was the second time in a week that I stayed there. When we got to our room. It turned out we had two wet spots on the floor in a sink that was clogged... No big deal. We had to go downstairs to switch out rooms This did mean we had to gather all of our belongings and take it downstairs to switch rooms. We were assigned a new room in new keys but when we went to our new room our new key had not been programmed and we had to lug all of our stuff back downstairs again I'm not normally a complainer but I did ask to speak to the manager and let him know that I was there to relax and for the last hour I've been doing anything but that. Since I booked my hotel do a third party app he offered to comp my resort fee which I politely declined because it was not about getting anything for free. I have plenty of money. I was not concerned about a $30 credit When I come up there, I typically wager very high and expect to enjoy myself and stay at the monarch because I believe that it offers a higher end and more exclusive environment that is more suitable to me I can say that experience left me disappointed and questioning whether I should be satisfied enough going back to the Ameristar, which is where I have stayed in the past. Another problem was the elevators. The elevator system is very efficient, however, two of the elevators were inoperable and caused for significant delay in moving between floors. We heard a large number of guests complaining about the elevators.

As a whole, I would say the stay was average. The stay started with us checking in, getting to our room, just to find out a couple was also assigned to the same room as us. When entering, it had my name on the TV but the other couple had keys that worked that opened the door. Luckily, we were all on the elevator up to the room together, and tried to enter at the same time. But found the entire incident incredibly concerning and unconformable and when we brought it up to the front desk, they notified the manager who just had them assign us a different room with no actual explanation nor did the manager even address it with us. It left us feeling uneasy and unsecured the entire stay worried someone else would walk through our door. The hotel was real clean, the buffet was amazing. But my interaction with the staff were all just average.

We are now exclusive to Monarch. We would normally check out other casinos -but- now we never leave until it's time to go home. The Wednesday buffet special is super.

Amazing hotel. Room was not very clean and in working order. Sink was clogged and coffee maker didn’t work. Customer service was terrible at check in and for directions inside hotel. It’s been over 7 days since our stay and the incidental charge still hasn’t come through. Also the buffet doesn’t open until 11. Minimsl breakfast options here. probably will go back to staying at the Ameristar just for the better service

We were somewhat disappointed that we never recieved an email or text telling us our room was ready for us to take our bag up to the room. We went to the front desk to check in ( after 1700 hrs) and the gal was very pleasant however she gave us no explanation why we didn’t receive an email or text telling us our room was ready! Someone dropped the ball and this was disappointing!

Absolutely great hotel, clean and comfortable. Only down side i’d say the noisy room doors… obviously it’s a 24/7 casino so people will go in and out all night so it’s a bit noisy but other than that was super.

We had a great time. Pool area was comfortable, lounge was a great place to grab a snack, room was quiet and inviting. Every staff member was very nice. Gaille at the 24/7 diner was amazing.

Great property - so nicely appointed! Room was big, nicely decorated, bedding was fabulous, and the bathroom was huge with two sinks and a great shower. Checked out the pool on the top level (23rd floor) - really nice layout with outdoor spa - well maintained, neat and clean. We self-parked (free) and came through the casino - had trouble locating the hotel front desk - had to ask for guidance, but no big deal. Be aware - the elevators are different requiring you to swipe your key and the select the type of access - you are then 'assigned' and elevator to ride to your destination. The only negative was the front desk/reception - they were very slow when we arrived and basically tossed the room key at us. No pleasant words, no 'have a nice stay' or warning about the elevator access, no discussion about the property or the pool/spa level. Rather disappointing.
