Nice hotel. Clean environment. Too many homeless around.

It was perfect for my son and i! We weee a tad disappointed that the pool wasn’t heated! But other than that it was a great stay to put your head on a pillow and sleep!

Hotel was in good condition, clean, and easily accessible from the freeway. The location was a little suspect with a lot of homeless people on the streets and surrounding parking lots. The hotel had a gate with key card access, but it was open whenever we went through so I’m not sure if they actually closed it. The bedding was horrible. I know hotel beds are never as good as home, but these beds were very stiff, creaky, and had plastic bed liners that made crumpling noise anytime anyone moved. The indoor pool was great and breakfast was surprisingly decent for a free included breakfast. The employees were ok. The cleaning staff never made eye contact or responded to anyone saying hello. The front desk staff were friendly but had minimal dialogue and the person at checkout refused to give me a receipt because he said I booked through hotels.com so they’ll provide a receipt for me. I’ve never had a hotel refuse to give a receipt at checkout.
Overall, I would recommend for a night or 2 but temper your expectations.

Not worth the price of the room unless you use the indoor pool which has beautiful plants and has a tropical vibe. We had a room with a king bed which was fine, there just wasn’t furniture to fill the big extra gap of space next to the bed. There was a tiny chair to sit in that fit my children, though had stains all over it so we didn’t use it. There was a desk with a chair that proved ok. Breakfast was great. My only complaint is the lack of seating in the room, especially for the price we paid.

The staff on the night of July 3 he was supper friendly and helpful. He was very cheerful and willing to help whatever our plan need. I really appreciate the friendly and professional staff like him to go and beyond helping customers. Thank him very much

The first room we were checked into was filthy! The sheets and comforters were stained, there were several hairs visible on the sheets and several of the dresser drawers were standing open. We addressed this with the gal at checkin and we’re given a different room, it was much better but wow the beds make so much noise whenever someone moves it wakes you. I decided to “upgrade” from the other motels in the area due to the exact issues we experienced at the Comfort Inn, I guess everything in Arcata is bad, pretty dissatisfied for what we paid.

They didn’t clean our room, said our do not disturb sign was on the door, it wasn’t. Room smelled bad. Cigarette butts all over the ground at the back door. Ice machine broken on our floor. Had to go upstairs to get ice. Bedspread had brown stain on it. Not sure what that was. Won’t stay there again!

This was a great hotel to stay in but the cost was expensive for one night. I understand it was location but we would not stay again.

The staff were very accommodating with last minute changes in room needs and length of stay. Had amenities we personally were not able to use, but will on a future stay. Clean and comfortable room. Rolling luggage carts were appreciated. Included breakfast was good. I spoke with three different employees and they were all very friendly and helpful.

Near the beach and estuary’s, so a nice, wet chill in the morning with some mist. Only view is of other hotels on in the area. This one looked to be the cleanest by far.

Room was comfortable and clean. No negatives except for the first 2 days my room wasn't made up and had to contact the front desk.

Our stay was great except our key cards hardly ever worked for our room. We had to ask the front desk several separate times to re-do our key cards. But the stay was pleasant and comfortable!

First, for the price this is not a bad hotel. We interrupted the front desk person watching the football game to check in, but check-in was fairly easy. The room had a smell of pot and we opened the window after realizing our second room we had also had same smell. Open window while we went out to eat helped a lot. Room clean, if smelly, and bathroom also clean

Having visited Humboldt many times because my child is at the University, the only issue I had with this hotel is that there was not water available in the form of refillable water station. Plastic bottles of water were for sale. And an eco-friendly county I would’ve expected to have a refillable water station.

Just in Arcata for 24 hours was perfect place to sleep and keep on traveling.

The beds were very uncomfortable and noisy, and the pillows were small and lumpy. There was no information about the bare bones “breakfast” such as time or offerings. The items that were offered were terrible. There were a few other things that were less than okay. Overall, it wasn’t great snd the best I can say about the property is that it was quiet.

The hotel is in need of a refresh. The a/c barely worked and has no thermostat. The beds were really hard, the fridge was broken and they didnt fix or replace it when we asked. The breakfast was non existent. Positive note, it was quiet and although stuffy and worn out bedding it seemed to be clean.

We ended up not staying at the hotel after seeing a prostitute in the parking lot leaving the hotel and people sleeping in the parking lot.

The hotel was a little run down/dated. Everything was clean and there were adequate towels. The room had an overwhelming musty, damp smell and we had to open the window and air it out every day. The staff was helpful but not very friendly. For the cost, it was very disappointing.

Nice clean place, friendly and efficient staff. We’ll appointed. Walls a bit thin (but not more than most chain places) and one of the two Queen beds had squeaky bedding (not the bed itself but rather the sheets and mattress squeaked.
