Comfort Inn Arcata

The location and the fact that check in was 24 hours. It saved the day as I had a flat tyre and reached the place much later than planned. The comfortable bed was a great plus after a long drive. There is also a washing machine and dryer.

Restaurants were close by 9pm and as I arrive well passed that I had to survive on an apple and some nuts that I happened to have. Would have been great if there is a vending machine for snacks.

Location, breakfast, room are all good!

Internet didn’t work well.

Very comforting hotel. The room was big and bed was perfect.

Unfortunately the intense sweet chemical smell in the room gave me a headache, scratchy throat and burning eyes. I had to open the window and turn on the heat to try to air the place out. It didn’t help and I left the next day feeling pretty toxic. When I got home, I had to leave my luggage and everything outside for a couple of days before I could stand to bring it in the house because the smell had permeated everything. I don’t know if its the cleaning products, air freshener of some sort, scented laundry products or all of the above… but with 30% of the population having MCS (multiple chemical sensitivities), they might want to think about toning things down a little.
