It was an ok place to stay. I wouldn’t consider it five stars but it was a decent place to spend the night.

I stayed at this hotel the last time I took a cruise out of Galveston which was back in 2020. This hotel didn't have an outdated feel back then, but it does now. It really needs new carpet, updates to the elevator and rooms. There was no parking so the lovely lady at the front desk told me to park by the door. The staff was nice and friendly. Food was typical Best Western food.

The hotel had good reviews online. We knew we’d arrive before the 4:00 check in, so I asked if we could check in early. They said that should be fine. They ended up getting us in early, but said they had to clean the cover for the air conditioner. ?? When we arrived in the room, the air conditioner unit area smelled like pee. Did someone prior pee in the air conditioning unit? Perhaps that’s why they cleaned it? Also, the room smelled heavily of febreeze or other chemicals, so it seemed like they were trying to cover odors. The carpet was bunched up and the floor beneath felt squishy, like the subfloor wasn’t good. The tile near the bathroom kind of sunk in while walking across it. The coffee pot and pods were stored in the restroom instead of in the main room. There were no available parking spots, so we had to find a space near a curb that wasn’t in a red tow away zone. The staff and guests were literally the only good things about the stay. I won’t stay here ever again..

We were staying the night before a cruise with friends. It was inviting and clean. The attendant was amazing given she was all alone while registering several parties at one time. It was close to the cruise terminal and restaurants. We watched the Chiefs football game in the main lobby without any complaints from the attendant on duty. She was great.

The staff was fantastic but the hotel itself was below average. It had a slightly rundown feel and the location was not close to the beach. Adequate, decent breakfast.

We had a great view of the beach, although it was pretty far away. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was average hotel breakfast. Waffles, eggs and sasuage along with all the pastries. I dont feel that the room was worth what we paid for it. Carpets were really dirty all thoughout the hotel. Some places had a mildew smell, probably from the carpets. Wouldnt stay again.

This is our overnight stay for our cruise. It is affordable, clean, and smells of fresh paint. As far as eco, they have one-time use of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. I saw nothing else, but that doesn't mean they don't practice it. Coffee and hot water are served all day. Good breakfast, wish there was yogurt and granola, but everything was hot, even with us not getting down until 8 am.

I don’t understand the tiny square pillows on a giant king size bed. The bed was also uncomfortable (I recognize that it’s up to experience, but that was mine). The room was old and worn. The faucet was about ready to leave the counter.

This is an older property. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. I use Hotels.com for many business trips. The ratings are usually right on point, but I'm not sure how this hotel has an 8.8 rating.

The lady at the front desk was the best part of our stay. She was so nice. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. The room was terrible. There were big hard lumps all over the floor, underneath the carpet. We were so confused about what they were. It was weird to walk on it, and of course it looked terrible. The floor was pretty dirty, but everything else in the room looked decent. The beds were firm and uncomfortable. We expected way more for the price that we paid. It was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at, but one of the most expensive. We definitely won't be back.

We were surprisingly upgraded to a suite for free, very nice room perfect for a anniversary trip. We loved it!! We were also able to leave our vehicle there for free while we took our cruise.

Our room smelled musty and there appeared to be mold growing on the curtain in the room. Everything around us was full and it was just one night so we pushed through but we will never be returning to this location. Elevator was out but we were on the first floor, not sure if it flooded or what but our carpet was wet and the entire room smelled like mildew

Older hotel, but clean. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The elevator was broken, which wasn't awesome for a 3rd floor room, but that's not on the hotel or their staff. Overall, a decent stay.

Was told elevator was not working. I am a senor and was given a a room on the second floor. I asked why was not informed prior to check in and the clerk told me it was not her job to call people. I asked for a discount and was told the manager was not giving discounts for the inconvenience but I could check out and find another hotel. I drove 4 hours to get here and was told I could leave. What a disaster, please remove this property from your list of reputable properties.

The staff was so friendly and any questions or assistance we needed was immediately addressed and catered to. Unfortunately, the elevator was undergoing maintenance at the time of our stay, but again, the staff was very accommodating in changing our room to one on the first floor. The location was also very convenient as we were so near to The Strand which we were in town to visit. Thank you for everything!

We reserved an accessible room, but the elevator was broken and we ended up with an ordinary room with a very low toilet. Ended up taking my wife to the lobby restroom several times as it was as accessible.

You can tell they tried updating to room but room had a musty smell and felt dirty. Pillows were so small. Shower took for ever to get hot water, literally ran it for more than 5 minutes. Barely had water coming from bathroom sink.

Upon our VERY late arrival the foyer was impeccably clean and I was greeted w/ an intentional pleasant fragrance that spoke CLEAN and welcoming. Dana awaited our arrival to the front desk w/a smile. The entry decor was appropriate
for a seafaring city that included a modern flair. Having mobility challenges, I was pleasantly surprised w/a first floor room and accessibility in my room to include a shower chair for safe bathing. No doubt i'd book future stays here.
